                @dealhunter: I have emailed to [email protected] with tracking numbers and invoices. Waiting for the response. I am pretty sure if I contact Amazon they will offer refund or some compensation. Will do that if nothing happens tomorrow.

                Edit : I am still gonna chase nzpost and customs to clear the package anyway. Did so last month for robot vacuum.

                  If you do contact Amazon, it might be useful if you don't mind posting what you say to them. That way, if it works, we can use that as a template, and if it doesn't we can draft a different approach to them.

                  I had 3 1k+ orders held for months, amazon refunded me, my customs customer number was missing, send a msg to the email above, took me weeks to find this email but they sorted out everything in the same day, I did to talk to like 10 persons from nzpost to finally find this email above lol

            Awkward, embarrassing, sure, but they would just have to put up with it, and if they lost a few customers behind me in the queue because they couldn't be bothered to wait, or never came back again due to their slow process, I would try my best to be philosophical about it.

            @nzmax: Yes and no. They usually give you the option to select which products you allow substitutions for. If you don't allow it and they don't have stock, they will refund you.

      Line up behind me as we come past. We'll strip the shelf, wait until the timer elapses, then when the shelf automagically re-stocks, we go again until our bags of holding are full.

      This time, nobody, and I mean NOBODY, is to attempt to place a bag of holding inside another bag of holding to get more of the Wakrak deals - you know it took us weeks to unwind the continuum last time!

            @apieceofpie: I left two JUK behind and maybe 6 or so vege korma (they’re lying flat so quite hard to see).

            If she saw someone doing five laps around the frozen section, that was me.

              @Wakrak: You may have been just before or after her, but she similarly was doing laps and couldn't see them. Asked several employees and they said they've got construction happening out back which limits their access to the frozen storage area, and they had had a tonne of people asking after them all day.

        I got the story from someone, they have extremely infrequent access to the freezers once construction starts, so best time to go is early morning before construction starts.

            @Wakrak: I went yesterday morning for opening time and still had to ask someone to rummage out back as none were in the freezers, they managed to find one x6 box of the $2 lamb meals, but none of the chicken. I think their inventory system is maybe a bit out of whack with the freezer disruptions maybe.

            I did see some kormas but my wife didn’t like the look.

              This. If you care about being given the run-around (and fair enough if you don't), then always make sure you get the employee's name, and make sure you tell them you will be complaining to TWL's head office about their refusal to follow policy.

              Do it in a nice way - after all, it would be rude to complain without giving them a fair opportunity to correct their mistake first.
