  • Is Amazon prime valid in NZ as well?

I thought the deal isnt available to NZ address.

  • I just used a random AU address to sign up. Its only $79 a year and includes prime TV and access to some prime benefits. It costs more just for prime tv on its own in NZ.

    • @dealllllll

    • I see. Thank you. Do they question you when you order or deny returns for warranty because delivery address isn't in Au?

      • I have never had any problems and have never needed to claim warranty. Free returns with all clothing items purchased that dont fit. I feel like I get better customer service due to being a prime member to be honest. I also select subscribe and save for all grocery items then cancel this once shipped to save an extra 10%

        • Haha. This is the deal for me. Thanks!

  • Thanks OP I picked up a Qrevo Edge to replace my eufy

    • Wouldnt this go over 1k limit for customs?

      • Price includes GST so there was no additional cost.

      • Yeah I looked into that but apparently Amazon cover those costs according to GPT.

    • What model was your Eufy and what was wrong with it? I was considering a Eufy

  • The draeme ultra gen 2 is 400 aud, cheapest it's ever been also.

  • how is this comparing to the qrevo L/L pro?

  • Anyone got the package? Looks like mine is held by customs.

    • I ordered one to. When you pop the excluding gst price in from your invoice A$730.31 it pops up with the gst owing of A$109.55 - This was already included in the purchase price and has been paid. Download your Amazon Invoice.

      • Yes. Gst is paid but not sure what is happening here.

        • The AI response below gives me some comfort.

          https://share.google/aimode/nKnXEBUBqCkYN3Uko

          • @Deephardfunky: Current status,

            On amazon

Your package is being processed by Customs officials. New Zealand Post may require additional information from you.

            On NZ Post

The parcel or shipment has been assessed by New Zealand Customs and they require an import entry before it is released from our facility.

Haven't got any emails or calls yet so will wait today I think before contacting.

            • @ace310: Based on the AI response. Once we provide a copy of the invoice showing we only paid $730 AUD excluding GST we should be safe.

              • @Deephardfunky: I called NZPost and was told to wait for a response. So let's see what happens.

    • Mines also stuck at customs, incorrectly flagged as >$1000.

      Thursday
I called NZ Post, tell them it's been flagged incorrectly, they say "no problem send us the invoice and we can sort it".
Get email reply: "Value is >$1000"
Call them next day, new person, "Oh we don't even deal with that you'll have to email the e-commerce team."
Send them an email, in meantime I decide to just call customs. They basically just tell me to submit a form, and submit the invoice and bunch of other crap.
Get an actually fairly prompt reply from Customs, they say "Yes, GST looks like it's been paid, but NZ Post hasn't given us all the required info for us to release it yet. Please ask them for all this info."
Sent this email, approx Friday midday. Still waiting for a reply.

In the meantime the earphones I also ordered arrived but one is buggered so I'm having to chase that up too. 🤦

So long-story short, probably best to email [email protected] and ask for the parcels:
      Flight Number,
      Parcel Weight
      Date of Import
      Port of Origin
      Port of Destination
      Goods Location
      Master Bill Number

Them make a Customs service request, include the invoice and tracking number, and the info above, as well as explaining the GST has been paid and >$1000. Possibly include both sides of your drivers license/passport as proof of ID. https://service.customs.govt.nz/hc/en-us/requests/new

      • @ace310 @Deephardfunky FYI

      • I have kind of also talked 3 times with 3 different things. I submitted 1 inquiry to here. Another one to [email protected]. Got this from one of the call.

I will try other email you mentioned. By the way, I have not received any comms yet from NZPost. There is absolutely no emails or updates.

        • Yes sorry, [email protected] was also the email I was told to contact, and likewise didn't hear from it.

          • @apieceofpie: You are still waiting for any update or got it sorted?

            • @ace310: Still waiting on NZPost to give me that list of things before I can get back to Customs. Customs person said they're usually fairly prompt, had been hoping end of business today but hopefully by end of tomorrow.

              • @apieceofpie: Just spoke to NZPost again, and this time I got told to contact Customs. When I asked about the parcel details, they don't have it. I need to contact amazon for that. So I need to call NZ customs on 0800 428 786 and inquire further.

              • @apieceofpie: Did you get custom AR number from nzpost? When you called customs what did they ask for?

                • @ace310: Nope, just that list of things earlier.
I contacted Amazon support, using the text chat thing, saying it was stuck in customs and needed that list of things, and they very quickly just offered me a refund instead lmao. So I guess they're unlikely to offer much help but potentially you'll get a free robovac out of it anyway.

                  • @apieceofpie: Good to know. I had contacted Amazon yesterday and asked for those information. The case got escalated and rep told that I will get the response in 24-48hours.

Even if you get the refund, not sure how to actually get customs to release the parcel as I can't get through from comms to resolve this. And if amazon cancels the delivery there is likely a chance that parcel will be returned.

                  • @apieceofpie: I received all the information from the email I sent to [email protected]. I am going to call tomorrow and probably submit all the details to nz customs. NZ post have literally said in email that they cant help anymore.

                    • @ace310: I'm still waiting to hear back from NZPost. I got told yesterday up to 5 working days.

                    • @ace310: An NZ Customs Client Code is required for your shipments as the total value is over NZ$1,000.00, which require formal clearance through NZ Customs as per NZ Customs law. If you would like to contact NZ Customs about this please call them on 0800 428 786.

If you do not have a client code, Please complete the application with forms (NZCS 224)at (https://www.customs.govt.nz/business/import/lodge-your-impor…) and send to NZ Customs directly by emailing [email protected]. They will respond with your code. Once you have this code please ensure this is emailed back to us at NZ Post, with your tracking number as the reference.

If you are applying for yourself as a private individual, please visit https://www.customs.govt.nz/personal/send-and-receive-items/…

I am going to try using the service and try to clear customs assuming that the total is above $1000 even though it is not. Amazon already refunded me so will see if this can go through.

Send email with below content to that ecommerce. You might have to pay service charge or something, but you have got the refund anyways. Do include invoice and any other info you have. Hopefully it gets cleared before it is returned.

Yes, I would like to use your service and I will pay the applicable fees

                    • @ace310:

We are pleased to advise that your Customs clearance has been completed and no payment is required.

This is after getting the info from NZPost and submitting the NZCS263 form.

                      • @apieceofpie: That's good news. I just submitted and hoping to get the same result.

                      • @apieceofpie: Got the customs clearance with TSW number. Now waiting for NZ post to process it further.

      • Hi - thanks for this - I also have this issue.

What a mess - Amazon normally uses DHL for goods over $1K as they have a dedicated team that arrange the clearance at no cost. It seems because this was below $1000 they have sent it via NZpost who dont have any arrangement with amazon for the customs clearance so the packages are stuck in limbo due to the value being over $1k.

        • The $1000 threshold is before GST so this shouldn't have even been an issue afaik

      • Looks promising got a reply from customs

We are pleased to advise that your Customs clearance has been completed and no payment is required.

NZ Customs have issued an electronic delivery notification to the shipping company holding your goods.

Any delivery arrangements should be discussed directly with your shipping company.

NZpost tracking still has not updated yet so will see what happens.

        • What steps you did ?

          • @ace310: 1.) emailed [email protected] and ask for the parcels:
            Flight Number,
            Parcel Weight
            Date of Import
            Port of Origin
            Port of Destination
            Goods Location
            Master Bill Number

They replied the next day with the info and asked for the TSW number

            2.) Completed the form on:
            https://service.customs.govt.nz/hc/en-us/requests/new

            • I am contacting Customs because: I need to clear personal items I'm shipping to New Zealand or request a refund
            • I need to: Clear item(s) I have bought or received from overseas
            • Comments: explained that I am trying to clear a package that I believe that the package had been incorrectly flagged as over the $1000 limit and GST had been paid
              I attached the following:
            • NZ drivers license front and back
            • The completed and signed nzcs-263 form: https://www.customs.govt.nz/media/adonqedr/nzcs-263-bring-ge…. (included My Customs Number - which I had previously applied for following these instructions: https://www.customs.govt.nz/sending-and-receiving/customs-nu…)
            • The invoice PDF from Amazon Orders page
            • A PDF of the email from NZ post with the package info

They replied the next day (today) with the TSW number

3.) Emailed ecommerceenquiries with the TSW number and asked if they needed anything further

            • @dw2018: I am almost following the same process, except I don't have customs number. I have applied for it and waiting for that to arrive. Thanks for the details.

            • @dw2018: For nzcs-263, what was item price, total value(in nzd) & shipping cost you mentioned? I imagine this is GST incl. price.

              • @ace310: shipping cost was $0
Total value was $730.31 I think - its the value at the bottom of the invoice excluding the GST

                • @dw2018: Got the customs clearance with TSW number. Now waiting for NZ post to process it further. No duty to pay.

                  • @ace310: I recieved this email and responded with the details requested. I am hopefull that it will proceed to get to me now?

Two overseas parcels addressed to you or your company has arrived at our Customs Controlled Facility. To release your parcel into our delivery network, we require the following:

                    NZ Customs Client Code

As the total value of your shipment exceeds NZ$1,000.00, it requires formal clearance through NZ Customs in accordance with New Zealand law. A Client Code is mandatory for this process.

                    What you need to do:

If you already have a Client Code, please email it to us along with your tracking number as the reference

        • Got the same today after getting the info from NZPost and submitting the NZCS263 form.

          • @apieceofpie: I got an email from e commerce enquiries stating i needed an import entry # due to consignment being over $1000, I obtained an import # and emailed them back with the import entry # and tracking numbers and then received an email back saying " Thanks for updating we will have it sorted" Do you think i need to do anything else here? Also @ Ace310 and @ apieceofpie did you manage to get refunded? Im tempted if you did.

            • @Deephardfunky: Did you do the step 2 mentioned here. If will receive an update from customs with TSW number.

I got it refunded and received the money back to my wise today.

                • @Deephardfunky: By import # you mean customs client code? Did you get all the details mentioned above from ecommerce?

                  • @ace310: What did you say to Amazon? Contacting them now

                    • @Deephardfunky: I contacted Amazon support, using the text chat thing, saying it was stuck in customs and needed that list of things. Too much hassle can you do something and ask for all the shipping details.

                      • @ace310: I have two other orders which are held as well. I wander if i should try to get all three refunded.

                        • @Deephardfunky: I did. I had 2 and both refunded, but total was still below $1000

                  • @ace310: Yes. They emailed me.

                    • @Deephardfunky: Did anyone got update from NZpost now customs is cleared?

                      @apieceofpie @dw2018

                      • @ace310: I havent. I jumped on NZ Post app and said okay to leave parcel on front door step. This is showing as the most recent activity on the tracking number. Prior was delayed on the 16.07 at 4:01pm and prior to that import entry required on the 15th July at 6:38pm. I talked to someone from customs who advised to email help@nzpost and ask them to start an investigation and advise when delivery would be expected, i have had no reply from help@nzpost or e commerce enquiries regarding this email

                        • @Deephardfunky: I emailed help@nzpost yesterday and got below response. I did reply back saying no payment is required and balance is $0. But haven't heard anything back yet.

                          Thank you for your email.

Once the payment has cleared with customs (which can take up to 2 working days), they will hand the parcel over to us. Once in our possession, we will process this for delivery.

                        • @Deephardfunky: Did you get the refund?

                          • @ace310: Yeah, I used $750 Amazon Gift Cards which are back on my account now. I actually need to contact Amazon AU again as i was supposed to get $10 credit with each $250 gift card i purchased during the prime sale. I really wanted the vacuum so hope it still comes. If any of us get one would consider it a win =)

                            • @Deephardfunky: I am going to forget about that $10 credit if I get the vacuum. Fingers crossed

                              • @ace310: I just went and asked for the $30 ended up with $35. I was angling for the gift cards to be refunded due to them being purchased to buy the vacuum. They did a runner after i showed them the price difference between what i paid and what the cost delivered now was which was approx $1000 more. Did you pay an import entry?

                      • @ace310: I haven't had any change in tracking status yet but their site says: Once NZ Post receive a copy of that customs delivery order from you, within 1 working day we will release your parcel from our Freight Customs Controlled Facility into our Delivery Network. The tracking status for your parcel will be updated to reflect this. Once in our Delivery Network, our delivery target is up to 3 working days nationwide. Delivery to rural or remote areas may take longer.

So hoping that they process the email on Monday and I get it towards the end of the week.

                        • @dw2018: Anyone had any updates on this as of yet? I havent had a response to my last email from either nzpost or customs. @ apieceofpie @ ace310

                          • @Deephardfunky: Didn't get anything until morning, so called NZpost and emailed ecommerce again.

Got below response sometime back, so hopefully that should do it. Tracking is still not updated yet, so let's see

Thanks for your email, parcels cleared, and operation team is working on releasing to courier network.
ETA info is available by referring to below URL or NZ Post Mobile APP and please use email subject or below/above tracking(s). Status update may not be available instantly on the website (up to 48-72H).

                            • @ace310: @Deephardfunky @dw2018
Status changed to "Processed at depot" last night. Hopefully yours are all the same.

                              • @apieceofpie: That's good to know. Mine is still the same.

                              • @apieceofpie: @Deephardfunky @dw2018

                                Finally.

Your parcel from Amazon.com.au has landed in New Zealand and cleared customs. It is now on its way to a local depot for processing.
The estimated delivery date is 29 July 2026.

                                • @ace310: Nothing has changed for me yet but I think I started this process after use.

                                  • @Deephardfunky: I did get a reply from ecommerce saying it had been released from customs and tracking will update in 24-72 hours.

                              • @apieceofpie: yes mine has updated to processed at depot as well :)

                                • @dw2018: @Deephardfunky @apieceofpie

Received both of my package today. After lots' of headache, it is the best deal ever.

Edit: Amazon order now shows as delivered.

                                  • @ace310: Yep mine arrived today as well - what a mission :)

                                    • @dw2018: @ace310, @apieceofpie. I had previously felt bad about posting this deal. Not anymore though -Thanks for all the details.

                                      • @Deephardfunky: Frankly, I feel bad as well, but it is what it is. Too much hassle to get this, spent quite some time to sort it so ya sort of makes sense.

I imagine we won't be able to claim any warranties.

                                        • @ace310: TBH. I just felt bad about the hassle Amazon put everyone through, it should have been a straight forward transaction. They did redeem them selfs though =) Would be best to approach Roborock directly if we ever have any issues. I am away with work so I havent seen it yet.

                                          • @Deephardfunky: It certainly didn't feel like a free robovac but it'll be hard pressed to find a better Cheapies deal this year!

                                          • @Deephardfunky: My $73 cashback at topcashback just got confirmed. Not sure if it will be rejected or paid later. If got paid that will be something lol.
