You obviously have no idea what you're looking at..
The pricespy price is the best price on Pricespy.
The EOS 1200 is already a good price at $599, it's just not the best online..

Many of those below the $599 price if not all of them will be parallel imported.
If you look at the Pricespy results it's obvious which companies source from Canon NZ
and which one's don't. Chances are there's almost no margin in it at $599 for NL.

No reason to laugh.. This is how things work.

      • Wiseguys.co.nz has NZ stock for $543. There are a few cheaper but the $483 price is definitely parallel import. I guess you need to decide if saving $60 or so is worth getting it PI.

        Seriously?

I know what I'm looking at. I'm looking at a table showing the percentage difference between the sale price and the lowest available price on pricespy. Given that pricespy has one lower than the sale price, the difference is a negative value.

I found that funny, hence the comment:

"Lol at the negative discount on the camera ;)"

You will notice that I've taken the time to include an emoticon on a little winky face at the end. This is to illustrate that whilst I've written a comment that sounds blunt, I am actually just having a laugh. The little emoticon lets you know that I'm not too serious.

Beering that in mind, I notice your blunt comment doesn't have a little winky, or indeed any other form of emoticon at all. This leads me to believe that you are serious, which is unfortunate.

I don't care where the lower value comes from. I do understand about parallel importing, and the implications around this in terms of original manufacturer warranties. However, I'm laughing at the way that value looks on the table, and that alone. I like to laugh and generally have a humorous demeanour, but that doesn't mean I don't comprehend.

Feel free to relax anytime that suits you, or at least when you address other people.

        :)

        • I don't understand how seeing a lower price somewhere online from another retailer is funny? or even worth commenting on?
So they don't have the best price you can get it for, so what?

It's not like it was NL's old price, which is how you make it sound, that would draw the type of comment you made..
They have it more expensive in this sale! Ha! That makes sense..

Your comment is truly perplexing to me. What's there to laugh about? I never knew negative numbers had such comedic value.
