why rio wide was bad? i am looking for bigger models so I have fit a few jars in

Bad quality. First one released too much steam and didn't really come to pressure. Some buttonds didn't work on the second (reduce time and rice buttons did not work), couldn't open the lid of third one. I liked the size though as it was way better for ribs than the smaller one.

I got Instant pot duo crisp 5.6 or 8 litre 3 years back for $130 from Costco. Good for airfrying, pressure cooking and open lid cooking. Just occupies space.

I contacted them yesterday about this as the price wasn't updated on their website.
What a terrible response lmao. They basically said the campaign on Facebook and Instagram wasn't controlled by them.

Anyone recommend the Duo plus over the Duo ? $50 difference

I had the same decision (although note only ~$35 difference, accounting for shipping cost (Duo $10, Duo Plus Free) and the 10% discount).
Looked like very similar products, but deciding features for me to go with the Plus were:
- 'anti-spin' inner pot (should really be standard, and not a feature)
- Sterilise function
- a bit more info on the display
- re-designed steam release was nice to have, but not necessary for me- 0

The extra's in the mega all look like i'd use them once (if at all), and then they end up tucked into the back of the cupboard/drawer never to be seen again. haha.

Pretty sure if you sign up, you get 10% voucher. Got instant pot pro with wifi for $206 few weeks ago. Had Rio Wide previously which was total junk.
