    • In 5 days

    • That is because when you click on it, it will show today’s offer which is what you mentioned.

  • I've noticed lately it doesn't list a per-transaction cap (at least, on app) - have people been getting more than $30?

    • iirc the 50% cashbacks have been capless and the 75% capped at $30 per order.

    • There have been 50% uncapped lately, when it doesn't display a cap, got it a few times.

  • Need the 50% uncapped to buy the Xiao Xin Pad Pro

    • I think over half the days in the last 2 weeks have been 50% uncapped - Im hoping we start getting the 60% uncapped back as those have been a few weeks since I last saw one

      • +1

I believe it was only for new customers. Have been monitoring it for few days as have things in cart I need

  • -1

    It says new customers only.
I clicked the one on 14th Jan not today.
    They changed it after?
Ive never seen 50% for all customers

    • +1

It's for all customers. They've done a few times before.

      • Oh okay then I will buy some at that day.
        Thanks.

    • +1

You are mistaken. There have been few uncapped 50% off for all customers. I have have bought few things including a lenovo tablet during those.

      Eg.
      https://www.cheapies.nz/node/54068

Edit: Even on 11.11 they had uncapped for all. https://www.cheapies.nz/comment/279404/redir

      • I see.
        I missed them.

        Thanks.

      • Hey mate how's the Lenovo Xiaoxin Pad Pro you bought off Temu, is it a global or china ROM? Any issue for far?

        • It's a global rom I believe. It's been working great. I have mostly using it for media only (plex, stremio, YouTube). No complaints.

          • @ace310: How do you set up Stremio? Beginners' guide please. Thanks.

              • @bigcheese: Thanks. I tried to install 'Stremio for Android Mobile' and got 'Item not found', so stuck quite early on!

                • @sunshinenz: Try to get apk from here. Don't have android phone to check.

                  https://www.stremio.com/downloads

Or you can also use website
                  https://web.stremio.com/

                  • @ace310: Thanks. I managed to install the ARM version as advised by one of the sources. After that how do I watch programmes? Should I just use the stremio app? Then how do I cast on the TV? How about searching for what's available on Netflix etc? I don't mind paying for the RD service but I want to make sure it works first. Thanks.

                    • @sunshinenz: Without RD I don't think you can really play much without buffering issues as it would use torrents. I could be wrong as never used it without rd. There is a 15 days plan for $6 for rd you can try.

Follow the bootstrapper setup mentioned above by bigcheese. This will get you all catalogs and you will be able to see everything. Not sure if you can watch anything though without rd.

Finally not really sure about casting to TV. There are stremio TV apps you can install. Casting won't give you that good experience I think

                      • +1

@ace310: It works fine with torrents for most shows and movies. I use the Torrentio addon for series and TV. It isn't listed in the addons search, but instructions on https://torrentio.org/ are easy to follow.

                        • @Rlir: Good to hear. In that case the bootstrapper already installs torrentio so no extra steps required.

                          • @ace310: I watch stremio (torrentio) without RD. In the last 10 episodes of watching something, I only had one buffer issue during one part of one episode, and that took less than 10 seconds to load.

          • @ace310: Gemini suggested me to get a China Rom one to receive update from Lenovo and get it from AliExpress since Temu one are Global Rom only, any idea?

            • @doubledippps: I am not really sure. But I definitely got an update on mine after few days of using it. I also have all google services & play store working fine. Don't know what else it's missing or not, but for my use case this is absolutely fine.

I actually bought it to use as HA Dashboard Display, but haven't got time to really work on that so it is being just used as media pad for now.

And considering I got it for around $120 after cashback, can't complain if it's missing few features.

              • @ace310: Hello ace
Is this the vendor you used for the tablet:
                https://www.temu.com/nz/-xiaoxin-pad-pro-2025--144hz-lcd-scr…

                • @Marcus1: I didn't get the pro one.
But here is the seller I bought from
                  https://www.temu.com/mall.html?_bg_fs=1&mall_id=469088196685…

                  Item ID: 601102888680096

                  • @ace310: Can I ask how much you paid for yours off Temu? It's currently $533 (with cashback it'd be something like $310)

The same on AliExpress is $380 upfront, doesn't seem significantly cheaper and higher risk if the cashback fails for some reason?

                • @Marcus1: There's one there for $60 less with 256GB storage

                  • @Balmoral Rd: I saw this one but there is no mention whether this is Global or China ROM just says ROM in the product title name whereas the other one says Global Rom.

I heard that the China ROM is better due to widevine L1 support so if it’s the China ROM I’m more keen to buy it from there than Aliexpress.

                    • +1

@Lucifer: I got the global rom one and it has widevine l1, so not sure how others say it is not supported. Here

                      • @ace310: Is your one Xiaoxin Pad Pro 12.7 2025 model?

                        • @Lucifer: Non pro. Item id listed above

                          • @ace310: It’s weird how the 8gb 256gb model is cheaper than the 8gb 128gb model by a bit. I have no problem if it’s China or Global Rom as long as it has Widevine L1

I wonder why the seller has listed the 256gb model at a lower price.

  • The last time they did this sort of cashback. I could activate shopback while logged out, but as soon as I logged in it would say: "Sorry, only new users can get this coupon". I created another account, and got the same message. Tried in an incognito window, same message. Hopefully this isn't the case this time around…

    • Ignore that message.

    • as ace310 said ignore - it is because it is trying to apply a 30% off for new customers coupon which is what is being denied - this is separate to the cashback

      • @ace310 @Rowjo Am i correct to assume its either 1 or the other e.g. either first time 30% offer or cashback but not both?

        • +2

          You can use/stack both.

  • Do you guys empty your cart annd add all items from scratch when going through ShopBack?

I accidentally forgot to empty my cart once and just completed my order with items already added, and the cashback still tracked. Felt like it was a fluke though

    • I have the same question

    • Don't take my word for it, if it doesn't work. But I have never emptied my cart yet. I always use app. One thing I always do is, add a random item to cart. Go to cart and unselect it. Checkout my other items in cart.

    • I have forgotten to in the past and it seemed that it tracked a lot later but still did track.

I am in the habit of using a new incogneto window, logging into shopback, opening temu, logging into it and then grabbing the things from my wishlist and checking out. No stuffing around browsing or anything.

      • I've now started using the wishlist instead of leaving things in the cart just in case. Went shopping tonight on to there and tomorrow when cash back goes live will just jump in and add stuff to the cart and check out. They say empty your cart so I do it to make sure and avoid issues.

        • That's a good idea, thanks for that! But where is the add to wishlist button? Just had a look and wasn't able to find it.

Also it's live now, and looks like its uncapped!

          • +1

@genesis: I couldn't figure it out. So anything in my cart, I just click into the product and add it again. Then change the quantity from 2 to back to 1 in the cart. Seems to work haha

            • +1

@Jizah: I just did the same, let's see how we go lol

          • +1

@genesis: It's in a weird place, if you scroll to the product details section it's next to the heading there. So past the photos, title, review and shop name. Lord knows why there and not at the top like most places would have it.

            • @Everettpsycho: Ah yes I see it now, yeah quite hidden, thanks for that though!

  • What are value items to buy?

    I never used temu before

    • How much are you spending? 💰

    • +3

We've got things like electric toothbrush heads, toothpicks dental floss things, magic sponges before, ended up with loads of each much cheaper than buying here even before the cashback. Might try and get more tape for the brother label printer that's currently $4 at pb tech.

We also get a lot of the little things the kids like, so wooden cut out animals they can colour and stick magnets to, the paint pens to colour on them were also good.

If you own a Nintendo switch or game on PC the gamesir controllers are good value at their full price, with a 50% to cashback they are a complete steal.

Phone cases and screen protectors are also much cheaper on there, we grab a few of them so we have spares for when they fail, again at $4 a case before cashback its cheaper to buy 15 temu cases instead of 1 locally that will inevitably fail in about the same time frame.

      • None applicable to me lol.

Phone case is a good idea. Maybe the tablet commented above

Looking for high ticket expensive items ideas

        • Furniture, lamps, smart home items, or other technology items.

What do you need? Or are you just feeling frivolous with your money.

          • @Wakrak: Not frivolous just looking for inspiration

            I don't have a list of things I want/ need

but that doesnt mean i dont have wants

i just dont know it yet

  • I am getting the error that it only applies to new users.

    • Ignore it, that's something else.

  • Is it a 50% uncapped this time for everyone?

    • Looks like uncapped, as nothing is mentioned. Same as last time

  • I'm getting an error where I activate the cash back, then it pops the 'only new users can use this coupon'. After I dismiss that the shopback browser extension tells me the tracking is deactivated. When I click reactivate it restarts the same loop.

edit - seem to have gotten around this by just closing and starting again.

    • +1

Highly recommend to use their app if you could. Browser extension is a bit hit & miss depending on what other addons/popup blockers are there.

      • Will do, though I hate installing their app so spammy haha. So for tracking from the app I go to this deal, click through and it will open the app. From there i'm tracked?

        • +1

No. From app once you click temu, it opens it inside the app on it's own browser. So basically you are still inside shopback app. It will not load Temu app.

  • Thinking about getting a new phone - anyone recommend a reliable seller so I can browse their phones?
    Thanks

  • +1

Note: always check Aliexpress to see if the same item is cheaper (even with the 50% off).

  • I recently purchased:

Samsung Galaxy 8 watch 40mm for $472 before cashback approx $260 after the cashback. Legitimate Samsung - Really happy with it.

  • +1

3 transactions for around $60 each are tracked at 50%. I split the orders as I could and thought it would be good just in case it was capped.

    • Hi, I sent you a DM asking you more questions about your Xiaoxin Pad. I’m not sure if you have DMs enabled.

      • Replied.

  • +2

Just had mine show up as tracked, the eligible purchase amount is showing as 82% of the initial order, so it seems to be 3% on top of GST gets taken out. The cashback ended up being over $200 so definitely seems to be uncapped

    • +2

I wish the eligible purchase amount calculation was added as a FAQ to these posts. Excluding GST and something else, works out to roughly 42% cashback

      • I understand the cashback won’t include GST but how do they calculate the amount on top of GST the extra 3-8% that gets taken off the cashback as well. On Temu theres no mention that the item had any discounts added on just says what the price is?

  • Is the 50% Temu cashback going to come back next week on Sunday and last up till Tuesday. I check the app calendar and it says those 3 days it pops up as Temu 50% but is this an app error?

    • Most likely new users only.

      • I thought 50% Temu cashback has always been uncapped and for both existing and new customers?

        • +1

If it says "up to 50%" then it will be 50% for new users and a lower number for existing. If it only says "50%" then it's 50% for new and existing both

          • +1

@Kirkitplayer3: This. On top of that mostly they're capped at $30 or so.

            • @ace310: Any idea how long it will take for the next 50% off for all users?

              • @Lucifer: Hard to say. I am no expert or related lol, so can't tell anything.

  • Mine ended up not tracking. Have submitted a case, hopefully it goes through, total order was $222. The whole reason for even purchasing stuff was the cashback.

Has anyone returned the items if the cashback hasn't been approved before?

      • Ahh that’s a rough one, especially when Cashback was the main reason for the buy. For Temu on ShopBack NZ, tracking can take up to 5 days from the purchase date, so if you’re still within that window there’s a chance it might pop through yet.

If it still hasn’t tracked after the 5 days, you’ve done the right thing by lodging a missing Cashback claim. The team will then check in with Temu and see what they can do.

On the returns side, it’s usually best to hold off until the claim’s been looked at, as returning items can affect whether Cashback can be approved.

Hopefully it comes through for you soon 🤞

        • Fingers crossed, case is under review. Anyway I've left all the items in their bag still in case I do have to try return them 😅

        • @gotyourback Hi mate, I've flicked you a DM. Cashback review got rejected, I've got the option to dispute it but thought it'd be easier to DM you

    • Same here mine was rejected, it didn’t even track my main purchase of $300. Only my first small purchase tracked of like $20. I disputed it and it was rejected with no human response. It’s ridiculous because I 100% used the shop back link, no temu coupons, both times religiously. @gotyourback are you able to assist me where to go from here

      • DM gotyourback with details.

      • Even after disputing mine it got rejected in the end. Seeing on Oz Bargain looks like this might become a going trend going forward with Shopback and Topcashback where Temu don't honor these cashbacks.
        https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/946151

Takeaways from this is split your order into many small ones so you don't get fked over by one big order that gets rejected. Add the items to your cart during the click and not in advance. Be prepared to refund it/return it honestly to let the money talk if it doesn't work out.

Response I got from the dispute. Pretty generic and lame answer since it doesn't say why it was declined to prevent further issues. More leaning to BS cause Temu just run these promotions to get sales and don't want the cashback to go through - But that's just conspiracy theories, but who knows.

Thank you for providing us all the information. We truly appreciate your cooperation in reaching us about your purchase with Temu under order ID.

After reviewing your enquiry, we’re unfortunately unable to approve your cashback request on this occasion.

Cashback eligibility is determined by the merchant, who pays a commission only when an order meets their store’s terms and conditions. If these terms aren’t met, the merchant doesn’t pay a commission to ShopBack, which means we’re unable to pass on cashback to you.

Some additional factors that may affect cashback rejection but no tlimited to the following:
Clicking on another Chrome extension after clicking from ShopBack
Opening other web pages (including search engines, social media, or other store/promotional sites) after clicking through ShopBack
Clicking on a banner, pop-up, or advertisement on the merchant’s webpage while shopping
Antivirus, cleanup, or adblocker applications blocking or disrupting cashback tracking (tracking cookies are required)
Clicking on a banner or promotion on the merchant’s site after the ShopBack clickthrough

We understand this may not be the outcome you were hoping for. While we’re unable to change this result this time, please know that your satisfaction is important to us, and we truly value you as a ShopBack customer.

  • With this round of 50% CB.. Had two purchases track, then confirmed, then showed cashback then rejected.

    • Did you use the store credit? Mine rejected due to store credit being used.
The rest of the purchases are being tracked. However, the amount is not 50%.
For example, order $81.32 - only tracked as $33.33 (41%)

      • Always GST & taxes are excluded. On top of that around 3-4% more is reduced, not sure what or why that is.

      • Nope, didn't use store credit, no codes or coupons, just unexpectedly rejected.

        • Hey @wowbigdeal, that’s definitely odd and I can see why you’d be confused there 😕

If you’re keen, flick us a DM with your order details and we can take a closer look into what happened with those rejections 👍

  • My cash back is tracked two days after the purchase, but it has not confirmed yet.
I need to return/refund 2 items out of 7 items. What happens to the rest of my cash back or do i still get full cash back?

    • It will be adjusted eventually and you get the % cashback on the remaining items.
