Absolute joke these cost + x% deals. The product I wanted was on sale for under $3800 a couple weeks ago and now with this F&F deals it is around $4800.

I wonder how they get away with these false advertisements with the laws concerning false advertisement.

I agree it's really misleading. You might think 'cost' refers to the cost of the item that they buy if from their suppliers, but 'cost' in this case is the cost of the item plus all their overheads plus 5% margin. Someone should really query this at the commerce commission since it's impossible to quantify whether it's genuine or not without access to their accounts.

Here's Eneloop batteries comparing RRP, CSCBG pricing and CSC codes with F&F discount code.

I don't believe you need any CSC membership to get the F&F price. The F&F discount overwrites the CSC discount as it's cheaper. I see the same prices as your bolded ones when i'm not logged in

In the past there have been some items that reduced further by combining the two.
I didn't actually check the F&F code on it's own this time so that's good to know it makes no difference. Thanks.

Exactly what I was saying. Noel Leeming has been really off their game lately.

Not only this, they’ll try every trick in the books to not price match a product when the discount doesn’t suit them.

      • 100%

        • No wonder! I recently went into 3 North Island Noel Leeming stores asking for a price match on a TV. All 3 refused because the TV I wanted to buy was only in stock at a South Island Noel Leeming store.

Staff basically said it will cost us too much money to ship the TV to you. I was paying $89 for the shipping as well.

Oh and the cherry on top. They had bonus $250 gift card offer running at that time and they told me if I were to get the price match then they won’t give me the $250 gift card. At that point I knew I can fight on FTA grounds but I wasn’t going to let them have my money anymore.

Jb HiFi got my sale straight away plus I ended up buying a lot more on top.

          • @StingyPete: Their customer support is really bad, couple of years ago, got an Apple Watch. Had so much trouble to get it repaired and staff just hanged up on me. Not really keen to go back.

    • I can see the warehouse going into receivership.

They still rely on the same business model/look from 20 years ago. Their competitors caught up and went better.

I agree - KMart have been kicking their butts since about 2016, maybe earlier.

I can't recall who was in charge then, or more specifically, it would be the senior / mid-management layer that screwed up by making poorly analysed decisions, but whoever it was should avoid showing TWL around2016 on their CV!

        • It was Nick Grayston from 2016.
An absolutely disastrous run as Group CEO.

        • Dont forget Briscoes lady kicking butt as well

Thanks for posting I saved $53.00 on a wireless speaker I’d been looking at for a while that is full RRP with all NL’s competitors.
