Just updated my Z app to access the newly launched Z rewards and received this bonus.

The Join Offer Promotion gives you three vouchers for a 20c per litre discount off fuel (redeemable on up to 100 litres), one voucher for one free barista made drink of any size (includes optional extras, such as flavoured shots or alternative milks), and an instant bonus of 300 Z Rewards points (“Join Offer”).     Nice one, just seeing my new Z app vouchers now 😌. For those in Akl & going through Henderson Gaspy (confirmed)showing now 1.22pm : cheapest Z 30KM from Northshore : Z Lincoln road with your 1st (of 3 !) 20c off pump price voucher is a quite good $2.36 net P/L 91 petrol….(PS : Z T&C's show no other Z price promos allowed. I don't know about Z reward points "stacking" etc. Any Cheapies know on that question ?).

      I still remember when they had qr codes to scan for the coffee and car wash loyalty cards… That I accidentally took a photo of and scanned 5 times a days for a week.

    I feel the new rewards system is a lot worse for the regular Z coffee drinkers. I now have to spend $250 in store or $500 on fuel to get a free coffee vs the buy 6 get 1 free

      It's actually better. If you look on the rewards page it says "Buy 5 barista made drinks and you'll get 500 bonus points". So it's now buy 5 get one free + the rewards points from the coffee purchases (I think).

      No more stacking with the new rewards…sounds like it'll be used automatically?

      1. Z Rewards Fuel Discount
        14.1. We may offer you:

      (a) an “Every day CPL Discount” - a discount of 6 cents per litre off the advertised pump price of Fuel at a Z Service Station, up to a maximum fill of 100 litres; and/or

      (b) a “Bonus Discount” – an extra cents per litre discount off the advertised pump price of Fuel at a Z Service Station up to a maximum fill of 100 litres, available from time to time, to select persons at a rate and for a period determined by us.

      14.2. On any given day, your “Z Rewards Fuel Discount” is either one of the Every day CPL Discount or the Bonus Discount, whichever is higher.

      and

      15.7. Sorry, you can’t:

      (a) save your Z Rewards Fuel Discount for a later date or subsequent transaction;

      (b) combine your Every day CPL Discount and Bonus Discount in a single transaction; and/or

      (c) select whether or not to use your Every day CPL Discount or Bonus Discount (if available to you) on any given day or transaction.

    How is everyone maximising their fuel discount with this new rewards system? Does not seem like we can stack fuel discounts compared to Caltex which has the older reward system. Thoughts?
