    I have the yeelight RGB one and got it for about this price a couple of years back. Main thing is they wash the wall behind the monitor with light and light up your workspace so you can see the keyboard and mouse. It's overall a nice level of light and avoids shadows that you may be casting over your workspace if the light source is behind you. They are good for night time working in a dimly lit room as well to reduce eye strain.

    It's definitely not an essential but it is a nice to have if you're not happy with your lighting around your PC monitors.

        It's same as the normal desk lamp for reading/study…
        Just this one is mounted on the monitor…

          @Mario: Ok. Apologies for my naivety, but why can’t you simply turn on the main room lighting, isn’t that what room lighting from a ceiling is for? Sorry I’m just wondering if I’m genuinely missing out on something.

            good for reading..somehow the ceiling light could not provide enough light level for reading or small crafting works for example.
            also the ceiling lights could cause shadows some time…
