It appears the Google TV Streamer has had a price hike to $279
However Spark hasn't updated their pricing yet…so you can essentially 'save' $100
It's also available at the old pricing instore only in selected stores at The Warehouse

@ $279 its getting to the point of just buying a whole new android TV. "4K" is actively false too…. there is so much compression that you'd have at least 4 or 5 asterisks.
The Ethernet is only 100mbps not gigabit as well and it demands its own power brick over USB-C rather than daisy chaining to a TV's USB.
Better to get an old version of a fire stick with fire OS (on that note avoid Vega OS versions which is most 2026 versions i.e. no longer android)

I think it has Gigabit Ethernet. Not that it justifies the price point or anything - I only paid $99 for it.
I'd probably wait for a better sale if I were in the market for one.

A lot of this to do with inflation and the dollar dropping against the US over the last few years. They've been keep the price down, just like some Apple products which have had a price hike of 40%.
