Do you know how this charger differs to the Super Fast Charging 2.0 Travel Adapter (45W) (Type C)? The Super Fast Charging 2.0 Travel Adapter (45W) (Type C) says it can charge at 25w too. So this 45w charger does it work for iphones as well or other devices like the Galaxy A series?

      • Generally speaking USB devices will only draw as much power as they need. Both chargers support 'PD 3.0 PPS max' which means iPhone or Galaxy A that support USB PD (most of the recent ones) will negotiate the correct amount of power draw such as 25W. So AFAIK it's totally fine to charge those devices on this charger.

      • EP-T4510XBEGAU is the newer model, charges slightly faster at lower battery levels. Not sure how that works but that's what testing has shown.

        https://www.sammobile.com/news/is-samsung-new-45w-charger-wo…

        • +1

The 45w sounds almost pointless, at least on the S22+ and ultra. The saving in charge time was a couple of minutes over an hour charge which is negligable. You'd be better off spending the extra money on two 25W chargers if they are available or a power bank of some kind so you can charge elsewhere if you really need it.

Other phones might get different mileage and cheaper/older phones probably won't even utilize over 25W to need the extra power. 45W isn't really enough for a laptop unlike the 65W offering.

          • @Everettpsycho: Just checking we are talking about the same thing, the article above is comparing two versions of the 45w charger. The newer version charges slightly faster at lower battery percentages.

            OLD: https://www.samsung.com/nz/mobile-accessories/super-fast-cha…

            NEW: https://www.samsung.com/nz/mobile-accessories/45w-power-adap…

It looks like this "sale" ran them out of their old stock of the old type of 45w chargers.

And regarding 25w vs 45w chargers for the s23 ultra:

45W USB Power Delivery PPS — 57 minutes
25W USB Power Delivery PPS — 73 minutes

            • +1

@parlane: It might be different now then, I mentioned the S22 particularly as when I got one I tossed up the 45W charger and last year all the articles said don't bother it saves you a minutes. Seemed like it did great at low percentage then just dialled it back so much the 25W caught up.

The point does remain though, u less you have a phone capable of using 45W charging it's a lot of extra money for no gain.

    • Hoping the 65W Power Adapter Trio comes back for a bit too !

  • Cash back with Kiwiwallet too

  • I think I was probably one of the first to order the t7 500gb, yet still stuck on “waiting for approval” :(

    • same..

    • Ordered 1tb. It's shipped and got the tracking email as well.

      • When did you order

      • yep, my second order for the 1tb version just arrived this morning. Still waiting on the 500gb to be shipped.

        • Also waiting on the 500GB, stuck on 'Preparing Order'

  • +2

None of my orders have been shipped yet, is that anything to be concerned about? I placed all two on Friday just as the deal went live and not heard back since.

The one guy working at the distribution centre had a heart attack when he got to work on Monday and saw the order list. Samsung are currently advertising for a replacement.

    • same here

Ive had my education store order assigned a tracking number today.
My $3 keyboard assigned a tracking number today
And my phone was picked up yesterday from Wiri

    • both my orders are now 'awaiting dispatch', so you should be fine, they seem to be fulfilling orders.

  • Any service to create fake email accounts? Bulc Club won't work for me or adding the + keyword too didn't work.

  • Seems like the WELCOME50 code has expired.

    • Just tested in incognito on a s23 ultra, still takes 50 off.

      • +1

They have increase the minimum spend for the code

        • What is it now?

          • +1

@Wakrak: The code you entered did not affect your order. Please note, codes may only be valid for certain items or in certain conditions.

            On a 139$ case

            • @parlane: Adding 4 of the same cases made it work at $556 down to 506, so I'm assuming 500$ is the new minimum limit.

  • 15W Power Adapter back in stock

  • I got dispatch notifications for orders yesterday but not Saturday's purchases

    • -3

8 out of 9 orders shipped, the ssd that I ordered on Saturday still hasn't been shipped yet.

      • yea I received 3 keyboards today and another shipped, nothing about ssd

Thanks for this! Got hubby a crap phone for $118 save $100. The way that man goes through phones he’s lucky I doesn’t just have a landline

    • Did you buy the A04? If so, where are you located? I got the card slot cover (case) but have no need for it. If you're in Hamilton, it's all yours.

      • Aww thank you but I’m north Otago. Hubby will break it in a couple of months anyway 😂 that’s why he didn’t get my s21 ultra when I upgraded last year

  • Just got the 970 EVO Plus 500GB today.

    • Very lucky and I was hoping it would come back in stock. If wakrak didn't make the deal link go to the accessories page I would have found it that morning too. How much did you pay for each? Wasn't more than a couple of dollars optimized iirc.

      • I made the payment last Friday and paid $49 for it with a $20 off automatically discounted and $30 off with code THANKYOU30. I did not know the $50 off with code WELCOME50 when I ordered it. Otherwise, I would go with the 1TB one instead.

        • +1

Oh, after the $50 off got revealed, both the 250,500gb 970 and 980s could be had for very little with an appropriate phone case. I assume this is why they sold out.

          • @Bill: Yes, that is why they are all out of stock.

  • Got Sundays orders but not Saturdays..

  • Just wondering if anyone try to return some items? Any charge for return and if the discount loss?

    • +1

You would be better off selling your items rather than trying to return single items. You won't get free cash with any returns if that's what you were thinking of doing.

      • Thanks for reply.
So they refund as credit, is that what you mean?

Got a few phone case but no good use of it. Cannot imagine people buy those old model case as well.

        • I think that if you try to return the case that you used to get the discount then they will make you repay the discount itself.

You could try, but I think you might be pushing it….

  • Keyboard on its way.

    • The keyboard is quite nice, but a pity it doesn't have any touch pad or touch nipple like my mini lenovo bluetooth keyboard

      • Keyboards good enough for my usage. It's basically for putting password in to the smart tv and keeping a laptop awake when the lids shut while plugged in to the same tv for Skype calls. Don't think I'd want to pay full price for it but at what I paid it's good enough.

  • Received my order that was made just 2 days ago

Is Samsung excluded from signature required removal(ATL)? No option to remove it on my package so will be at work..

    • @Dunno

    • Redirect to parcel pod location?

    • Yeah this !!

Massively annoying, tried the night before delivery to add ATL, not possible, WTF ?

0700h next day 'Out for Delivery' and yet again unable to add ATL … again we think WTF ?

1200h driver wasn't able to knock on door / raise us, so left 2 x C2C's in mailbox … 2 of us there, thinking again WTF ?

Tried arranging next day re-delivery as normal, sans ATL, yet another usual service is 'not available' … yet again thinking WTF ?

So the items leave the zone, heads off apparently to a 'Box Office Lobby' somewhere… that was all on Monday/Tuesday, no idea what to do, not driving all over the place after paying for an item delivered.

Unsure why Samsung have a special relationship and system in place wth NZPS CourierPost but it is certainly a PITA no end… if you could remove ATL as normal and/or click the re-delivery sans ATL we'd have the discs.

      • +1

Theres a few dozen companies who choose to opt out of the ATL system but imo it should be something the retailer informs you of before completing a sale

        • Then they compound the annoying stupidity of it all by also opting out of the typical 'next day re-delivery' option

Guess many items simply get 'returned to sender' - then potentially forgotten about/given up on, they likely get heaps of 'free stuff'

yep, they should make buyers aware indeed, 100%

  • 250gb ssd 970 dispatched today woop Woop thanks op
