The Low Quantity Thread

See New Post for Year 2025 onwards.

Limited Quantity

If your deal has limited quantity, please mention it in the description. If the quantity is too small then your deal may be removed. As a guideline, less than 10 quantity of items is not enough for a deal unless the item has a high price.

This is the thread for these deals.

On "My Orders" page it is now showing as shipped. So fingers crossed!

          • @memske: I had that but finally got tracking email

            • @daunjan: Their system is interesting, prior to that my order got zero'd. All that was active was the "saving". Have received email :). Thanks again Wakrak, after failing to get some Torpedo7 shoes due to a cancelation have been putting it off.

    • thanks Wakrak

    • Ordered one. Let's see what happens!

    • back to $2699 lol, what's the chance they honour this? 0.001%? seems like a few people ordered.

      • Looks like it’s sold out now on dick smith, and 404 on the website. Thanks Wakrak for spotting it though

    • Let's see how long before I get refunded. Managed to get in before they sold out

    • Order status is "on hold" for me rip

      • +1

mines still down as processing with the seller. im sure they will update it soon though

        • +1

We had a glitch on our website over the weekend where the Aspen plus showed a price of $200 and free delivery, this is incorrect and we will be cancelling and refunding all Aspen plus orders today due to this. Please note the normal retail price for the Aspen Plus is $2699.

I do apologise for any inconvenience caused by this.

    • As expected, was worth a shot though :)

A Dick Smith Marketplace Seller has advised that they are are unable to supply your NCM Aspen Plus Fat Electric Mountain Bike, E-MTB, E-Bike, 48V 16Ah 60Nm, 768Wh Battery [Black 26] as originally expected.

We understand that this is disappointing news and we are sorry that you've been inconvenienced by this cancellation.

*We sincerely apologise, but due to a misprint and some unexpected technical issues on our website, the prices were displayed incorrectly. As a result, we will need to cancel your order. *

Cheers. Got one. Doubt it’ll ship 😆

    • Placed an order at EIT for pickup and did the price match form at PB - Lets see which denied first, lol

Bunch of bookmarks I check daily.

Deal above popped up on the following page:
        https://deals.priceme.co.nz/

PriceMe & PriceSpy, good ol’ Cheapies classics.

        • Wouldn't this take a while to go through them? Appreciate you doing this though!

          • +4

@bottomcoughs: Depends on how many bookmarks you have and what you're looking for. Takes me around 20 minutes a day. Others have scripts running, tracking site changes and so on.

Used to take a lot longer when I used to post competitions too, but eventually gave up since there are no prizes for top comps like there are for top deals (besides a pretty little gold badge).

Some great discounts there - good finds!

Without checking them, I would be cautious about the portable air con units. If they use evaporative cooling, they might not work very well in NZ in the summer when it is potentially humid.

Having said that, I am no expert, so do your own research :-)

Some smart watches in clearance. HUAWEI WATCH GT3 46mm Classic (Brown) for example, $97

    https://www.jbhifi.co.nz/collections/clearance-sale-on-smart…

    • +1

Thanks so much for posting OP! Both Apple Watches arrived today, great bargain!

      • What model did you get?

        • Series 6, one in 40mm and the other in 44mm

          • @Is2u: Thanks. Was the 40mm one $227 as trying to work out if the red version is a good deal or not considering age.

            • +1

              @nzmax: They were both $197

    • Just be wary about how long these have been sitting on the shelf, as I think it affects the battery. Bought headphones on clearance from JB Hifi that am I currently waiting for refund for, as they wouldn't hold charge :(

      • Is that from this deal or a different product?

        • Yep those ones! So definitely wasn't the only one it happened to

    • Thanks for posting. They had an apple watch se with cell access there for $157 which was great value considering an apple strap is $90 by itself. It is an older model se, but my current apple watch is still working from 2016, but I use it just to maintain fitness . The still have the series 6 in red for $227, but I don't think I could handle wearing a red watch every day.

      • Just been told they have cancelled my order because it was reserved to another customer. Don't know how that could happen. Now all the apple models are sold out so can't even select another.

        • The $157 Apple Watch SE was available online this morning, even though it showed sold out the other day, but it wouldn’t go through to checkout.

          • @Sadie: I did get an order confirmation email yesterday afternoon saying it was accepted and the amount debited from my credit card. But today was told that they had cancelled the order saying that it was reserved by another customer in the store. I see some other apple watches have appeared tonight when they had previously sold out yesterday and had disappeared, including this red one so I am not sure what they are playing at https://www.jbhifi.co.nz/products/apple-watch-series-6-40mm-…

            • @nzmax: I can add 5 red Apple Watches to my cart, so I don’t think their stock is accurate..

              • @Sadie: Yes it seems very odd. I could order the red Series 6 model but it will likely get canceled.

    • Thank you very much for this Wakrak - got a apple watch SE Silver 44mm for $199, steal!

Idk the full details of the code so don't want to post it as a deal, but code 'BWFRIENDS%40%24' will give you 40% off full priced items at ASICS, Timberlands, and Birkenstock. This isn't the right thread for it either but didn't seem to warrant a new thread. Anyway, enjoy :)

    • +1

Thanks. I was just looking at some Asics shoes yesterday but couldn't find a sale.

    • +1

Thank you for sharing. Got myself some Birkenstocks. Unfortunately they don’t make many styles above 45 in men’s so had to change style but either way cant complain for the price. Thanks

    • What store/website?

    • The code doesn't work for me

      • Just tested on all three sites and it's working fine for me. Full priced items only.

        • Is this a limited time code? Can't seem to get it working on Birkenstock's website anymore - tried on full priced Arizonas and Kyotos but no dice. Thanks.

          • @Nzfade: Ah it looks like it's expired now sorry. Just tried on Birkenstock and Timberland and the code is showing as expired.

    Mentioned on Geekzone
    https://www.geekzone.co.nz/forums.asp?forumid=164&topicid=31…

    Element14 with a decent sale

    Ender-3 Pro's for $110 + GST (free shipping),
    https://nz.element14.com/creality-3d/ender-3-pro/3d-printer-…

    • Wow thats a steal, its even cheaper than secound hand prices atm, might be worth posting on the main page.

      • Go for it if you have the time. I won’t be able to until later tonight.

    • Crap, don't have a place to put this in house. Great price though.

    • That is tempting. As someone who don't have much CAD experience, is it easy to pick up? Was thinking to get it to fix things around the house, e.g. 3d print broken gears for food processor, fix kid's toys, etc.

      • +3

There are 3d printers in libraries that are available to be used.

If you're just printing a couple of things here and there, it might make sense not to have the upfront capital cost of getting your own printer. I also imagine there is maintenance involved, and it needs to be used fairly frequently, otherwise dust may cause problems considering it is not an enclosed system. The printers in libraries are also significantly more expensive, which I imagine would have a difference in the finished product. If you haven't accessed a printer in a library before, I would question how badly you actually need it and if it is just contributing to unnecessary consumerism. The librarians would also be able to help you out to help get you started. Overall, it seems to me to be wise to try it out in a library first before investing the time, cost, and space in doing it all yourself.

I've learnt to make challenges like this against buying stuff to prevent me from buying stuff that I don't need, which I will regret purchasing later on, but do what you feel like.

        • Yes, have printed few things in library. It's just that it became an hassle to go and pickup when you don't have time. But I am still not ready to commit on buying a printer yet.

      • +2

Same here but its cheap enough to mess around and learn with, worst case if i don't end up using it i can always flog it off on FB marketplace for what I bought it for

        • Good point. Bought one, now finding an excuse to the wife.

          • +1

            @spam:

… now finding an excuse to the wife.

            I wish I had your courage…..

            • @Alan6984: Turned out i didn't have to. Pricing error means no need to make up an excuse :)

      • +1

yeah it's super easy to learn, fusion 360 is probably the most beginner friendly cad software in my opinion and its free for personal use (https://www.autodesk.co.uk/products/fusion-360/overview?term…).

Just make sure you learn how to dial in the bed level when you first start that's where most people go wrong and give up.

      • I would get the V2 for $125 I guess rather then PRO. V2 is newer. I could be off as don't know much about 3d printers.

        • slightly better according to reddit, but can do upgrades on pro to match anyways
Both can be upgraded with parts

        • Am talking to element14 rep and they say system error, V2 cost $405.49 not $125. I'm cancelling my order..

    • Claims 19 available in AU and hasn't updated since I (and others here) ordered one. Wonder if there may be cancellations?

      • +1

Yea thats why its probably not good to post it on main page

    • Here's a good comparison of the Pro vs the V2. Looks like the V2 is a definite clear winner.
      https://www.crealityexperts.com/ender-3-comparison

Edit: Aaannndddd, I talked myself into buying one to play with. Was looking at the V3 KE, but it's 4x the price so V2 it is for now.

    • *** WARNING ABOUT PRICING ***
If you purchase this, save a copy of your purchase confirmation page!

I bought the V2, listed at NZ $125 ex and $144 incl., and this was reflected on my final purchase confirmation page. HOWEVER, if I then go into my account and view my order, it's showing up as $405/$466, yikes! I have contacted their customer support to clarify this, with a reminder of how incredibly illegal bait and switch pricing is under NZ consumer law…

      • Ended up at the same position. Chatting to cancel the order now

        • So is the actual price higher? or the it is just showing wrong on the account page?

          • +1

@ace310: here is what he said:

Me (3:35:34 PM):so why is it $405.46 on the order confirmation?
Siddharth (3:37:27 PM):We have the stock in UK and the price showing on the website is wrong
due to an error. Our team is working to fix this.
Siddharth (3:37:34 PM):Sorry for the inconvenience
Me (3:38:15 PM):Ok, just want to make sure that I dont get charged $405.46. If it's at that price
then I would not get it.
Siddharth (3:38:36 PM):Sorry but this is the actual price

            • @spam: Ok thanks. So party is over. Hope someone early enough to order gets it.

            • @spam: Yet 5 hours later it's still on their site at the lower price.

Tempting to take the punt just in case but think this would be a swing and a miss to actually get hold of one.

        • I paid using a wise card early this morning and only transferred enough to cover the order, no sign of payment or shipping yet though.

          • @Sadie: Think I stuffed up my order, I had already received the order confirmation.
Emailed them asking them to change to the V2, and they cancelled the order and told me to reorder.
Now showing as $466 and on Backorder when I log in.

            • @Sadie: just order the pro while its still cheap

              • @Huntakillaz: 2945489 is no longer available from the supplier. Unfortunately we are unable to offer this product for sale.

                • @Sadie: Bummer missed out 😢
I guess just keep an eye out on the V2 and see if they drop the price again

                  • @Huntakillaz: "This was on Fire Sale (Stock clearance Sale from our local warehouse) and hence the price was less before.

However, the stock for the Fire Sale is over and this is the UK stock that has been allocated for your order.

                    Hence the price has increased.

Apologies for the inconvenience. I have cancelled this order then for you as requested below."
