High end foam mattress’ can be fantastic. Depends on the firmness you desire. I have a Napp and love it
I bought one of these a couple of months ago.
Pros:
It was much cheaper than the other foam mattresses
Customer service has been very quick to respond and is good to deal with regarding the ripped cloth handles and smell (see below)Cons:
Very strong chemical odour. Had to leave it outside for 2 weeks to air out. Still has a musty dank smell after 2 months - my room smells like it did when I was a teenager 100 years ago.
Cloth handles on the mattress cover it comes with ripped immediately - they are strangely not designed to be used to carry the mattress it seems.
I find it very firm at 110kgs. Your mileage may vary if you are not a fat bastard like me.I'm still debating returning it but hoping it magically stops smelling and gets comfortable before the 100 day trial is up.
If you're finding it too firm, get in touch with them. I was going to return it due to firmness but they offered a comfort layer of foam, free of charge to make it a bit softer. I find it much better now. They also extended my 100 day trial by 2 weeks so I had time to try it out etc.
I didn't have the issue you had with the smell at all hardly though. Opened it and aired it overnight and it was sweet, no smell whatsoever.Go for a Napp mattress. Much softer
