They have been giving out $100 Pak'nsave vouchers, $100 prezzy cards, one or two $50 and gas vouchers for getting a booster

Not sure when it expires, haven't been able to find out much.

  • I wanna get my booster shot Early now please

  • Damn just had my booster shot today

  • +2

    Source?

    • just word of mouth

  • Now I need to change my vaccine centre

    • I didn't know that was a thing. This one like a lot of them are just walk-ins

      • 18th Jan onwards online booking and prior to that they were taking telephonic booking.

  • +2

how many vouchers are they giving out?

  • I hope they start doing this in all suburbs / regions

  • +3

Can anyone confirm if it’s still running?

  • Not hopeful that the south island will give such incentives…

  • +1

Westgate vaccine centre was giving $50 gift vouchers to everyone taking any dose there

    • Everyday ?

      • Last few days, yes.

    • I can confirm. kids vaccinated yesterday and received $50 warehouse stationery gift cards

  • Gisborne PnS was doing the same pre-xmas($115 voucher).

    • was it for the booster or the 2 initial doses?

      • Shot 1 & 2. I've yet to seem them listed post xmas for booster shots.

  • +1

Is this everyday and legit? Keen to get a voucher when I get my voucher? Is it multiple vouchers if you have more people in the car?

    • +1

Usually these incentives are 1 per car

      • Is this confirmed to be 1 per car? If it is, the best go is to have multiple vehicles, or drop someone off at the BK then once they get their voucher then the other goes from BK into the car to get another voucher?

  • +2

which one is it? I rang them and they said they don't do vaccinations?

    • It is the one shown in the link. I could not find a number so I would assume you are referring to the Healthline number. I believe they are just not updated correctly.

  • It mentioned limited time only for the voucher so Is this still available at the Mangere vaccination site?

  • +3

Might need to provide some sort of proof OP. Word of mouth isn't exactly a credible source and you're unsure if it's even available.

    • There were confirmed supermarket and petrol vouchers given out at that Manukau events centre during the initial vaccine campaign, but haven't heard any for the booster jabs.

      • I knew some vouchers were given out by Pasifika organisations in South Auckland during the vaxathon days, but were advertised only to those targeted demographics. Others who showed up after the news spread through word of mouth didn't get them.

    • I know it was being done recently, it wasn't just one person it was a lot of people talking about it and what they got, so if it's not available anymore it would be expired not that it didn't exist. There hasn't been anyone here that has been there and has been told they are no longer doing it anymore. I have heard of them running out or people only receiving $50 but there are lots who have gotten either a $100 PAK'nSAVE voucher or prezzy card.

I'm not unsure that they have been giving out the vouchers, but since they can stop at anytime I can't guarantee there will be any left if they run out for the day or stop giving them. Might be more comforting if I change my wording to I'm not sure if it's expired yet or not. They don't seem to be publicly advertising it which makes it hard to get any official information. My guess is that they are only sharing the information in local community groups, church gatherings ect.

      • I wonder if someone of them only give them when asked. It's also possible some of them are age based. I know some of the ads I saw for incentives for for the first dose mentioned if you were 25 and under and stuff like that.

where is the funding coming from for these GCs? are these donations from foodstuff?

    • +1

I don't think so, another centre did something similar with $70k provided by the government. they offer prezzy cards as well.

    • +1

If you run vaccinations and think your community needs the incentive the government will foot the bill to get people jabbed.

    • +1

      Government. Minority vaxx outreach iniative.

  • +1

Why can't the Govt just give everyone who has already done the right thing a bit of a nice bonus like that - instead of rewarding the slow moe's……….

    • I think the keyword is "incentivise" OP. There's is no point in paying those who would do it anyway.

      • +1

It makes some who got it early feel cheated, while others may decide to postpone their vaccinations hoping for a better offer to come later on.

        • Good thing you cant give back your jab because you didn't get a freebie.

    • Yea unfortunately crap like this happens - can't do much about it I guess. If the govt. gave early folks $100 vouchers, that would be super not good for their bank accounts!

      • The govt chose wage subsidy over cash stimulus, which IMO is the right choice.

However borrowing costs are at historical lows and a big stimulus payment for vaccinations would've given the programme a big push, and would've allowed us (well mostly Auckland) to get out of lockdown faster, and get the economy back to normal. There's a major cost of dragging our feet on vaccinations, with social distancing restrictions on the economy.

        • Very good reply. You may be right there.

  • +1

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong but I believe all this money is coming from the Maori and Pacifica fund. All those millions they are investing in those community groups are the ones that have had vouchers. Just so happens that anyone that goes to them can get a voucher. It's all taxpayer money.

  • Westgate vaccine center is giving $50 Pak n sav giftcard

    • Do they do this everyday? And to each person in a vehicle getting a booster?

  • +1

Anyone took one for the cheapies team?

    • +2

I went in, no vouchers at mangere. Was getting my shot today anyway.

      • Does that mean this deal is a no go?

        • I've marked it as expired.

        • +1

          Correct

  • +5

I did my booster shot at trust arena today, recieved $50 pak n save voucher

Looks like rewards can dry up so I hope this page and the Facebook group for Vax rewards stay up to date, then people can go grab reward that best suits them and their family when it's time https://www.facebook.com/groups/3032843683631323/?ref=share
