    It's shelf stable from a micro perspective. It'll go rancid due to oxidation (light or air exposure) first, so as long as you keep it air tight and in the dark it'll last more or less indefinitely.

we have butter here in upper hutt for 6 bucks each, at our new supermarket called plenty foods, red kumeras are 2 bucks a kilo too, skinless chicken titties 10 bucks a kilo
