Here is the instructions on how to claim at the pump (thanks Wakrak).
Go to Waitomo.
Pick a lane and open the Waitomo app. Make sure data and location services are on.
Click ‘pay from your vehicle’.
Select pump no. & fuel type.
Click ‘own amount’. Minimum $10.
Once confirmed, get out of the vehicle and type the amount into the machine.
Fill your vehicle.
Receipt will be sent through email.
looks like they have fixed a few flaws, number required before spin, this way they can record the winning prize in their system regardless if you claim or not.

Seems that if you spin multiple times from same IP address you get just $2
If you retry multiple times on the same number eventually you get told "Sorry, too many requests" lol

This is exactly what I saw a couple of weeks ago when I posted the Waitomo deal only to find out it was still in test phase and they put it live accidentally.
The endless $20 were good while they lasted.

It let me put my mobile number in and said I had won but nothing credited.
I think I happened to stumble upon the smallest window of time that it was open but obviously still in test.

I only used them initially because of the free fuel but it’s now my go to petrol station.
It’s fast with the app, I’ve never had to queue for a pump and it’s really close by.
Not to mention Kiwi owned so supporting local.

How long does the credit stay valid for?
In the FAQ help section of the app:
Waitomo Moolah will never expire, as long as you’ve used the app to make an in-app purchase at a Waitomo Fuel Stop within the last 12 months.

Had a play around a bit, can confirm that you can't bypass the system to get a good value.
I've managed to generate tokens for $20 but they seem to be tied to the number used to generate them.

They have changed the system so you need to enter your mobile number first and then spin.
