$50 Credit for Referrer and Referree + Ongoing 20% Monthly Account Discount @ Energy Online

10

Hi there,
Would you like $50 off your next power bill? Sign up with Energy Online today and we both get $50 off our next bill. By signing up with them like I did we both get a deal.

Give it a go, it’s really simple and I have to say that their rates are really good - my power bill has never been smaller. I was previously with Mercury Energy, a long time loyal customer.

Plus you’ll get a 20% prompt payment discount*, great rates and no fixed term contracts.

*Applies to electricity and natural gas only.

Thank you, take care
Kate

Can you please expand on what your company is planning with the Government's position regarding the removal prompt payment discounts (i.e. the systematic obfuscation of cost)? To my knowledge it has already been 6 months since they have announced this proposed change, and your parent company Genesis Energy looks to have already removed it.

  • Hi Seniormouse
That's a very good question. I'm sorry I cannot answer it as I am just a customer not Energy Online.

I will ask the question and post the answer when they respond.

One of the things I like is that they are transparent with their rates which are published online. The power bill has never been so low, considerably cheaper than Mercury.

    Take care

  • Pretty good deal. You can also get $150 guaranteed savings over a year (compared to existing provider) with Powershop using referral. https://www.cheapies.nz/node/23064

  • Hi Seniormouse
I contacted Energy Online this morning and asked about the prompt payment discount. At this time EOL have no intention of removing the discount. I drew their attention to ads which implied their pricing (including discount) was valid for 12 months so they are looking into that further (and may remove the ads!)
    Hope this answers your question.
    Take care

  • Was with Energy Online for a year until they increased their prices. Their pricing ended up being similar to Orcon for electricity so I switched to Electric Kiwi with an hour of free power (Way cheaper rates per kWh)
