This is an incredible deal, and better still if it's your first order you get an extra 20% off. I just ordered the Metro XS for $43.99. Free delivery as well. I almost feel like I'm robbing Barkers!

What am I missing here? $44 for an umbrella I'll probably lose in the first day? Is it THAT good?

    I bought classic only 51.99
    Thanks for sharing

Thanks grabbed an XS for $44. Cheers. Already had the standard size. And yes, I live in Wellington too :)

Awesome deal, thanks deladani! I just bought the XS and already own the standard. I get way more excited than I should about these umbrellas, but they're seriously good kit.

How durable are these in Wellington? I see too many snap back here for umbrellas to be viable.

    •

I have owned the XS for about 3 years and it's held up very well in Wellington. It rarely pops inside out but when it does, you can just pop it back and you're good to go.

They also offer a 5 year global warranty for piece of mind.

      •

Warranty is good. I had mine for almost a year, it broke. Emailed them, they told me to ship it in or visit their office. I walked in their office in new market - they fixed it on the spot for me in 5 minutes.

50 for an Umbrella? How durable is it? Will it survive being run over by a car (I leave my umbrella in the garage to dry so it's a valid use case)

  •

Got caught short yesterday in the rain on the way to the train station so this is a very timely deal. Thanks!

This is a good deal. I remember seeing this on Cheapies last year and it was like $70 or $80 for Blunt x Barkers Classic. I ended getting it at that price, because they are normally like $130 or something. So yeah, it's even cheaper this year. Although, the Blunt x Barkers Classic this year is a bit girlish, whereas the one I got last year is more of a traditional type design.

For those wondering or asking why you should spend $50+ on an umbrella, well it's because Blunt offers I believe 5 year warranty on all their umbrellas and you can replace with a new one if yours break. They are also wind resistant, unlike most umbrellas. See this video (and check out their other videos, they're quite interesting to watch):

Blunt is created by some dude from The University of Auckland I believe.

Blunt partners with brands like Barkers etc to release these "limited edition" umbrellas, which are I believe the exact same price as the non-limited edition ones. So yeah, this is a pretty good deal if you're looking to get a Blunt umbrella that is unique to the standard ones.

I picked one up in store this morning. What a great bargain! I had nearly bought one last week; would have been kicking myself today if I had! These are great in Wellington.

Could always go to your local store and ask them if they could move over stock from another store since the ones in Auckland seems to still have stock.
