  • Good find. I know people have got stuff from online stores before, that aren't listed on the cashback list, but has anyone bought from elive specifically?

    • +1

Iv Had cashback from a couple of the non listed sellers. Has always worked fine. Elive would order their stock from brother so dont see a problem
I can see people on cheapies have managed cashback from Elive before.
Also Elive advertise brother cashback from time to time too.

      • Cheers. I updated the deal with link to cashback, and added a feature list. It doesn't look like a half bad printer for an inkjet - I dont think much of inkjets really.

    • +1

I've bought quite a bit from elive (although I mostly buy from Computer Lounge), they're very good and ship stuff fast. The one warranty claim I've had to make (failed hard drive) was dealt with very quickly.

Edit: I forgot the main point of my response… I've bought a Brother printer from them before with a cash back offer and it wasn't a problem.

  • Bought one - we actually needs an upgrade as current printer not supported by new windows - hope the cashback will go through. Thanks for the post.

    • Brother are usually pretty good with their cashback. Still got a pile of about 10 label makers that cost a couple of $s each, giving them away slowly.

      • Oh cool. I was shopping for a label makers the other day. How much did you get those for? I must have missed the post.

        • +1

Was this deal nearly a year ago now, the more you bought, the cheaper they were.

        • @Shaw: Let me know if you ever decide to do a label maker giveaway ;D

        • @Shaw: Still so disappointed in myself for not pulling the trigger on this.

        • @Shaw: that was a good one! Let us know if you find another good deal on label maker :)

  • Was thinking of selling, but might actually keep as its a3. Just not sold on inkjet…

  • Price has increased. Expired the deal. Notably i still had a $149 printer my cart when i ordered, with stock level showing as 0 but it let me order. It shows 50 in stock for the printer at the higher price point.

    • Probably 0 stock for:

Brother MFCJ5320DW A4/A3 Duplex Wireless Multifunction Inkjet Printer + 4 Year Warranty Offer!

      and 50 stock for:

Brother MFCJ5320DW A4/A3 Duplex Wireless Multifunction Inkjet Printer + 4 Year Warranty Offer! + $20 MTA Voucher

      Haha

      • wow! lucky i went ahead and bought it already!

  • Not a saving of 80c but what about http://www.aquilatech.co.nz/productDetail.asp?idProduct=BPK3…

    $150.80 inc shipping.

    Or
    http://www.computerstore.co.nz/checkout/cart/

    $147.37 Inc shipping (auckland)

  • Looks like it's cheaper at Techworld and in stock, have updated the deal.

    • How about Computer Store? slightly cheaper?

      • +1

That one is only cheaper for Auckland.

$149.96 for anywhere else, few cents here or there really lol.

        • good point haha

    • Policy is they don't beat online stores/must be a store in your region. But sometimes you get staff willing to match anything, so YMMV.

      • Just picked one up for $134.88 with 5% price beat. They seemed happy to use thecomputerstore.co.nz.

      • They told me this at WS in store - but their policy doesn't state this? The manager said websites arn't classed as a "store" - can any long term New Zealanders comment on this? AFAIK an online store is still legally a store - registered as a business, sells stuff?

  • I can't see any limit in Cashback FAQ. How many can you claim under same name and address? Would brother care if more than 1 claimed by 1 person on the same receipt or better to order separately?

    • In a previous deal a few of us claimed 10 or more at 1 time, same details, no issues.

      https://www.cheapies.nz/node/5300

      • The T&C's only allow one claim per eligible product purchased, maybe this is new?
        14. Only one (1) claim may be made per Eligible Product purchased.

        • Na that's always been the case, it simply means you can't claim on the same exact item (serial number) twice.

  • is techworld all good for the cashback offer?

    • From what I can gather, as long as it's legit NZ stock, there shouldn't be any issues. I don't know if any of the retailers selling these are selling grey imports, but I doubt it.

  • I ordered two from computer store but on separate orders so paid $5 each as I thought two on one receipt might be an issue. Anyways so there is a slight chance that computer store might have imported stock??

    • I think there is a slight chance any of them might have imported stock, or a mix of both, it's hard to tell. Although, I don't know if any store is grey importing brother products at all. Most use 1 or 2 of the big NZ wholesalers, that's why you often see the same price errors across a number of stores.

  • Well I guess canon should be able to confirm on the phone on Monday and if computer store not eligible then hope fully computer store will. E able to cancel the order?

  • Techworld "OOS"

  • scored one from warehouse stationary, price matched. they should always price match office max so max you will have to pay after rebate is $10. come with new tech good ink cartridges. still pitty its not a laser.

  • Price matches at Warehouse Stationary against Office Max's prices. They realised Office Max excluded GST so I effectively paid $18 for $600 worth of printers.

  • Still in stock at computer store so why deal expired?

    • are they ok for cashback?

    • Was expired when tech world ran out.

  • I don't see why not. But I'll ring brother on Monday to check and then try to cancel order if they say no. Adler computer store site orders can be cancelled before dispatch. But I don't see the reason why they won't do cashback.

  • Anybody purchase based from computer store before? Haven't heard about them before.

  • I just did lol. They say all products have manufacturers warranty and ship from their suppliers which suggests to me that they have local suppliers just like other online retailers and stock is from Brother NZ?

    • I got one from there too for a family member. Pretty confident that wont have any issues

    • thanks, will go ahead and order.

  • ordered from computerstore too. Have bought other things from there before no issues. Hopefully the cashback have no issues :)

  • Went out of stock

  • Confirmed out of stock at Computer Store. Have expired.

  • They're in stock at Thundertech.co.nz for $141.62. Located on the North Shore for any Aucklanders who want to price match at Warehouse Stationery.

  • my order got cancelled, was told that it was a pricing error at supplier..

    • What store?

  • All Aquilatech orders got cancelled

    • wow…

  • my computerstore order got shipped

    • My computer store order has been cancelled.

  • My orders from Elive are "awaiting shipping", will report back tonight on whether they are shipped or not.

I think the problem here might be what I alluded to earlier, most of these stores use just a few central suppliers, once the stock is gone from those suppliers, it becomes a mess.

For now, the deal is still legit, plenty of people have got a sweet printer deal. Likely comes down to a first served basis, once the stock is gone, the prices will go back up.

    • OfficeMax's price just gone up to over $200

  • 2 * Elive printer orders shipped.

    • damn.. made the wrong choice to purchase from aquilatech, was with the intention to support these smaller businesses.. :|

  • Received printer from computerstore late this afternoon

    • Mine also got delivered from computerstore today, probably mine would have been one of the last orders before it went out of stock as I ordered around 5am Sunday morning.

      • hm ordered Saturday and dont have mine yet

    • Got my Elive orders and Computerstore orders! :)

      • did you get any tracking info from Computerstore ?

I only got an email saying it was processed for dispatch

        • No Tracking info. Came from the same supplier as my Elive order. (looks like dove electronics In wellington)

        • @rkl:

Interesting. My Elive orders are coming from Christchurch. Funny how now everyone magically has stock again though.

  • Had mine delivered from Elive yesterday. Submitted claim this morning and was approved within an hour. The cashback will be sent into my bank account within 10 days. Superb!

  • What did you use for receipt number? GST number?

    • Elive - order number = Invoice Number

      • hm for computerstore I have an invoice and an order number, think Ill use the invoice one

        • Yes if you have an invoice number always use that.

        • ok thanks.

          Just got approved too

  • +1

Cashback money came through today :)

    • That was quick, very impressive!

    • NOW its a free printer :) mine too. i feel like i won something
