LED Bulbs 10w - Bunnings - $2.94

150

I bought the Mitre 10 ones posted here (thanks goelamit for bringing to our attention), and happened to see Bunnings are doing it for 6 cents less. I'm guessing it is a reaction to Mitre 10's deal.

If you closer to a Mitre 10 maybe go there, and if closer to Bunnings maybe go there since they are basically the same price.

  • What are these the equivalent of in the older style?

ie are they are 100W or 150W lamp equivalent?

I'm using the CFL jobbies at the moment, usually a 20 or 23W bulb to get the light output I want.

    • It's in the description:

      Equivalent to 60W traditional globe

    • This is what Jay replied to me when I asked about the brightness of 800 lumens (about the brightness of these ones)…

"Technically, it is equivalent to 60 watts incandescent. However, with the newer generation of LEDs, reckon it is actually more like 80+ watts. Have put one of these up beside a 100 watt light, and you'd be hard-pressed to tell the difference. The 9w led bulb actually hurts your eyes to look directly at. Very little heat as well."

    • Compared to 23 watt cfl , these are bit less bright. But comparable to 20 watt. Tested on cool day light.
Warm white is same as of 18-20 watt cfl

      • Without having to wait 5 mins for the damn thing to warm up so you can see where you are walking. Think CFLs are the dumbest invention ever. Whole point of a light switch is instant light, not a few minutes after you need it

  • +1

Might want to mention that Edison screw base (E27) ones are the same price to and available in 3000k & 5700k too

    • Thanks, have updated

  • Unlike Mitre 10, The Bunnings store at Mt Roskill doesn't seem to have added any additional stock for the sale, so all they have is a handful of bulbs on the shelves.

Note the product code for them is GLD02X, it's on the bottom left corner of the packaging. The very similar GLD05X bulbs are dimmable and they cost $17 each.

  • I came to the East Tamaki and Mt Wellington branch. The warm white and E27 were all gone..

  • picked up 3 of these today. and they definitely didnt increase the stock. just the usual amount on the shelf. all gone mostly

  • Lifx bulbs are $60 each

  • This is expired. I had been to Bunnings yesterday and they are no more selling these

    • The website still shows the same price, do you mean the store you went to ran out of stock?

      • A friend went to Bunnings yesterday and picked some up so i'd stay out of stock at the store goelamit went to.
