  • The 150$ fee will need to be paid anyway, so I reckon it should be included in the title price.

    • Yeah seeing this more and more in terms of brokers fees and booking fees for shows and movies now. It is part of the cost.

    • It's written like if you book online you can avoid it, but this particular package you have to contact them to book so definitely unavoidable. Interesting really that the main reason to use a travel agent now has a charge attached to it.

  • The deal sounds good, but I don't understand why companies don't compound their fees on the package, it makes them so cheap money grabbing. I guess so they can offer a lower price on the package for advertising, lame.

    • Yup it's all deceptive marketing. And you gotta ask, where else are they being deceptive?

  • This seems like a nightmarish itinerary. Changing hotels 5 times in 10 days?

  • i had google gemini check what would this cost here the findings..obviously flight and hotels based on the dates u book so varations will be there..Estimated Total Trip Cost (Per Person)
(Assuming two people sharing a room)

    Flights: NZ$1,286

    Hotels (50% share): NZ$983

    JR Pass: NZ$540

    Subway Pass: NZ$16

    ESTIMATED TOTAL: NZ$2,825 per person

    Important Notes:
Hotel Fluctuations: Prices for the Far East Village hotels and Hotel Indigo can vary by day of the week. The Hakone portion is the most premium segment of this itinerary.

JR Pass Value: Since the JR Pass price increase, you may wish to compare the pass cost against individual "point-to-point" tickets for your specific route (Tokyo > Hakone > Kyoto > Osaka > Tokyo) to ensure it provides the best value.
