Isn't the promotion $6 King's Cash towards a Burger King order which may or may not include large fries?

  • What is this PayPal thing? Is it new or only for BNZ customer?

    • It’s new and for anyone. It’s from BNZ

  • If you pay this way they might take a bite out of your food… or is it showing what will happen if you don't use them lol… interesting ad given a fast food company is one of their first partners…

  • "BYO bank
Stick with your current bank (or banks!). Just link your existing bank accounts in PayPal and you're good to go - no matter who you bank with.*^"
Pretty big claim at the end there when the only bank options are BNZ, ASB and Westpac. I got it working with a old Westpac account I hardly use, after updating the Westpac app.
I assume if my order from BK is over $6 it will use the accounts in order, so $6 from King's Cash then the rest from my Westpac account.

Is autocorrect changing Payap to PayPal… that's second comment already… quite unfortunate for them…

    • Update. Yip Payap not PayPal, it autocorrected.
I used Payap at the counter to pay for a 99c Whopper, it took 99c out of my King's Cash, I think I had the option to choose the wallet before paying. The BK guy hadn't seen it before, said he might sign up to get the $6 :D was pretty easy, I hit the CentraPay logo on the eftpos(?) machine then scanned the QR code while in the Payap app.

I got the 99c Whopper with promo code BK9931, a promo for the upgrade to the Andersons Bay Rd BK in Dunedin.

      • Did the exact same thing but I ordered a Large Fries on top. It took $6 from my King's Cash and the remaining 74c was charged on my bank card. Pretty good lunch for 74c I must say. QR code payments should be normalised moving forward, it's all over Asian countries at the moment.

Nothing I love more than half assed digital implementations

“Just a heads up: you can only use your King’s Cash via drive-thrus or over the counter, it’s not available on Burger King’s website, app or kiosks.“

    • Surely it will come to the kiosks soon, can be tricky to get personal service at BK (and McDonald's and KFC) now.

      • I’ll go on the record to say that it won’t happen any time remotely soon. I have seen stores where they have put printed A4 signs up saying that the particular store can’t award crown points or something to that effect and directs people to HQ. It seems that some stores are independently operated or have different rules and I suspect that this lack of consistency is part of the online ordering problem
