Eneloop Pro 4 packs of AA's are on sale for $22 at PBTech or $24 at Noel Leeming with CSC discount as well. Might be a good choice for high drain devices like radio controlled vehicles and stuff like that? Can't speak on how they compare to Engergizer as I've never used Energizer, but they last longer than any other AA rechargeable I've tried.

    • Thanks mate. I've brought a pack of aa and aaa

    • This is the Energizer version of the Eneloop Pro. This is for high drain devices as well.

    • For what it's worth I find energizer takes a lot longer to charge compared to eneloop. I've ran side by side flat energizer and eneloop in my nitecore charger. Energizer seems to take a lot longer. Even over an hour longer sometimes. No idea why……….

Does it come with a charger/way to charge in the box? Or do you need to buy separately?

  • Can I use the Eneloop charger on these?

    • Any AA charger will work, as rechargeable NiMH AA batteries are not picky.

Loosely related, can recommend the XTAR VX4 charger off AliExpress. Includes a battery capacity test, good for weeding out the old duds.

    • Don't forget about the power supply if you do that though. It will either come with a foreign charger, and / or a dodgy (illegal) adapter. I see it's USB-C powered, so I wouldn't use the plug/cord it comes with and instead use your own decent USB-C supply.

  • I think they are only 1.2 volt instead of 1.5 volt for normal AA and AAA

Isn't all rechargeable NiMH battery 1.2V?

      • Yup.

If you want 1.5V rechargable AA/AAA you need to buy lithium ion batteries which have an internal 3.7V to 1.5V stepdown converter.

They are a lot more expensive and have their own issues as well, so better to use 1.2V Nimh if possible.
