The capsules are advertised with an RRP of $60.
At the moment on Amazon AU it is NZD 87 for 96 pods. Would you say that is a good price, or have you nabbed them at a better price?
$81.40 for 96 shows in my bank statement on 29th of July and that's the most I've ever paid for them in years.
At the moment AUD to NZD not very attractive (apparently due to our main interest rates being out of sync, NZ 2.5% vs AUS 4.35%)
I'm seeing 100 packs at amazon.au atm on special for NZ$78.98 delivered.. pretty great deal.
Most of the time I had to grab more than 96 to even reach the free shipping threshold.
They come as 16 and 54 packs.
I have a theory, that when capsules in machine+capsules combo reach a certain proximity to expiry (a year-ish?) Amazon system pushes the combo out heavily discounted. So I actually have one fancier Jolie at home, one Tiny at work and one Tiny… always in the car :P (few capsules and tiny paper cups fit in empty water tank)
Don't know if this is a done thing here ( I'm sure someone will let me know) but here is a free one (dif' model) if anyone wants one, with a story to go with it! Of course the DIY capsules aren't the same but give you the machine/robot experience and maybe they will delay planetary ignition by a few milliseconds. /s
I don't need a third coffee platform, but even just getting this to use the bundled ones and then not getting more is not an absurdly bad deal.
I'm generally running the morconna 12s in my nespressos from costco. 2 capsules to make a half mug. I don't recall if I have seen this brand at costco before. Anyone know?
As a dedicated Aeropress user, my thoughts were the same and thought I'd take advantage of the bundled capsules, then once they're finished decide if I'd keep on with it. In general I have been dead set against coffee in capsules.
Thanks - bought one to bring to my work site (as they have no coffee machine) and for the price this seems reasonable.
Plus - it's better than the dried out instant coffee (gregg's) that we have at the moment 😂

Ok, my time to shine as I adore these:
different league than nespresso, better taste (let's say that's debatable) and average of 7.5g per capsule vs 5g nespresso (non-debatable :P )
great deal as capsules themselves will cost you $50 minimum (and they're actually good flavors - Divinio, Crema Gusto & Passionale also good) so basically brand new espresso machine for $29.
basic so bit loud (nothing crazy thought), small tank 0.6L from memory but uses only a tiny amount to rinse, no auto shut-off (one button for on/start/stop)
The only place for cheap capsules is… Amazon AU:
- wait or get notifed when on sale
- grab enough for free shipping ($76ish?)
- choose an option of subscription for extra 10% off… and cancel when sent or received etc. Every. Single. Time. (I guess it's a form of stealing but stealing from Bezos… come on :P )
Espresso-type coffee all day not my thing bit you do you.
For me this is the 1st coffee of the day (within 30sec, always consistent, always great taste), then 2nd & 3rd filter (good beans, ceramic burr grind, quality machine with sensors and double wall jug, better when guest too - one big jug and done).
