  • Oooh, this could be me upgrading my A1 Mini.

  • +1

This is nice but have been waiting for A1 combo for a while and doesn't seem to get any lower.

Probably stock clearance as P2S is released

    • +2

Yeah most likely. I’m not complaining though, the P1S is a solid printer and with the AMS at a decent discount is excellent.

      • No doubt about it. I am on a tight budget and will not be used that much.

        • Interested with A1 combo too, please post if you find one!

          • @doubledippps: $749 at pbtech currently. Mighty ape also sells it, I am thinking of trying price match if they do it. In that case can use shopback cashback + use credit card.

Edit: I think no more price matches.

    • Thanks for your message about this being stock clearance due to the P2S. I read up on it and decided on going with the P2S. I'm so glad I did, the filament drying of the P2S alone is worth it, and then all the additional small benefits made it a decision I'm really happy with.

      • That's nice. I just pulled trigger on A1 combo for $739 + 8% cashback from mighty ape.

  • What's the A1 combo price when discounted?

    • I see currently it's discounted to $749. Which is lowest I have seen. Might pull trigger on it.

Anyone think if we see any more discounts later on?

      • +1

Don't think we'll see more discounts than the current prices for some time. This is their big early black friday + P2S + H2D launch clearing out the older series stock.

  • How does the multi color thing work?

    • Chops the filament off then retracts it then extrudes the remainder when you swap filament into the "Poop chute"

  • NZ cost so much more $$ :-(

I'd like to get a 3d printer but it's so expensive in nz compared to au or asia/usa.

    • Absolutely. That's the main reason I am holding off on my hobby as don't know how much I will use it.

      • I also don't have a good place to put it in my house, kids will bang into it.

        • Garage then vent it through the wall like I did. Its in garage due to fumes though mainly, though i'm sure the kids would be keen to play with it.

          • @Fragluton: My Garage, although dry isn't insulated so i feel it's not good enough.

        • My kids love my 3D printer. They are always finding things on Thingiverse to print and recently started designing their own Minecraft inspired creations in Blockbench and then printing them.

      • Once you have one… I got one years ago for a bit of fun, now there isn't a room in the house that doesn't have something printed in it.

Few of the 3d printers are similar price ($10 Lower with primate) on Mighty Ape.

    P1S Combo : $1269 with primate
    A1 Combo: $739 with primate

Also, can include shopback cashbacks (currently 8%) for further discounts.

  • Any deals on filaments? Going to order A1 combo soon and was thinking if there are any filaments as a starter I should get?
