Pretty big discount over local prices ($1699). The price listed is including the GST and duties that Amazon add at checkout. There are no additional duties on the printer so end price should be ~$1,320NZ after Amazon refund part.

This is a Prime Day deal so you need Prime. I haven't had trouble yet using my cousins address as a billing address and delivery address to NZ. The order has not completed yet though…

  • What's the deal with shipping into nz. I know Amazon charges gst on it so that's fine but over $1000 can get hit with other import charges at the border?

    • +1

The above price includes a customs deposit, if it's less than this you get a refund, if it's more you don't pay extra. You have to get a client code by the looks which should be pretty painless.

    • I got prime membership, It will be NZD 1,419.13 including all duties, shipping and so on

      Still cheaper than PB

  • +1

Anyone else has issue with prime member only deals? My order got canceled by Amazon as they say prime deal is only for AU customers.

    • I ordered this at 10am and it is still processing. No payment done yet. Possible it will be cancelled. I will update if so.

    • +2

I placed an order yesterday and it has been shipped.

      • Wait what? I placed my order yesterday 0945 AM and I am still waiting for it to be shipped, it says estimated to arrive in Aug 22?

  • Have been tempted to get p1s without ams for the last few days. It is cheaper through bambulabs directly but they dont ship to NZ. Might ask someone to bring it over as checked in luggage.

    • Please tell me you're joking when you say that you are considering having this as checked-in luggage….

This won't even make it into the the plane before it's wrecked if it's checked-in.

      • I brought one back checked in from Perth two months ago when it was on sale for 1250 then the TRS refund on top.

Box was perfect at the other end, it's packaged well.

        • … and then obviously declared it and paid the GST on it when you arrived in NZ ;)

  • How does the filament switching work? Are there multiple nozzles or just one?

    • Just one. The H2D is the model with dual nozzles.

      • Hmm, so even though it supports multi-filament (and hence multi-colour) the filament has to be retracted and new one inserted and then the nozzle needs to be purged after each layer. This seems like quite an overhead in time and filament usage, compared to a multi-nozzle approach.

        • I've watched a lot of YouTube videos on this. Yes it's an overhead, but a million times better than not having multi colour/multi material. The printer tech does seem to be set up to perform this change well, but yes there is that overhead.

        • Correct. But it's still a whole lot faster than me manually changing filaments, which I am doing now, and dual head printers are way more expensive.

  • Did your order ever process? Mine has been sitting as “order recieved” since the 8th. Worried they are going to cancel it!

    • Exact same situation. I am consoling myself with the fact I had a sleeping mat do the same thing back at Black Friday sales, then went through all the stages on the night before it arrived.
I think sometimes they get behind with orders and then send them out express DHL overnight.

I don't want to submit a support ticket in case they look at it, decide I'm not Australian and cancel the order, lol.

      • Yep - same mentality on the support front. I suppose we just ride it out and hope for the best.

      • Yay at least there's a group of us waiting silently. Disappointed Bambu shut off NZ from their website. If this doesn't deliver, might pick up the Elegoo CC instead.

  • Not sure if anyone is still monitoring this, but I just got a delivery estimate of 28th!

    • Hmmm I still haven’t gotten mine! I wonder if it’s just rolling in FIFO stock.

  • Same date is 25th in Wellington

  • Printer has arrived!
