Never had super shoes but I only run anywhere between 5:30 to 6:30 km so
I think at your speeds, you would benefit with some carbons.
If you can afford them, then go ahead. You'll feel like you need less effort to hit the higher speeds.
I grabbed some Asics Magic Speed and was well surprised how easy they are to maintain a faster pace…sorta feels like cheating…haha….checked out some reviews on the Deviate Nitro and it comes up well - so am giving them a try too - $135 for some carbon plated shoes is just too cheap! haha

@Citizen88: the not so nice green ones are included - I don't care about the colour tbh and anything other than black or navy blue (standard default for NZ retail buyers with shoes it seems) is good for me :D haha plus its a bit of an experiment to see if I like them, so colour even less of a factor.
@L3tstaxth1s: The general consensus that I've seen online is an extra half size is a good idea. However if you are 12 or over, there are no half sizes.
My next pair of deviate 3s, I'll get the next size up. I have the elite 2s and they were good, but after 42kms my feet were quite fatigued.
I ran the Chch Half in the Deviate Nitro Elites the other day in 1:18:08, I really like them. The biggest draw for me is they feel stable while still giving plenty of energy return. I ran a muddy forest trail race in them on Saturday and they still felt safe enough.

Ended up going for the Deviate Nitro 3 to try out the carbon plate. Have been enjoying my Hoka Clifton 9s.
I received the sneaker, very comfortable very soft. I am not a runner but using them daily is an excellent choice.

It's a shame Puma running shoes tend to run on the narrower side. I was gonna get the MagMax too.
I found their golf shoes the same but just went up a size and it's much better. Going to try that out with some new gym shoes now.
Ohhh do they have released one colorway for the deviate nitro 3's, but it's ugly green, no thanks.
However, I did totally forget about the Magmax so I got myself a pair of those. I have tried them on in a store when I was shoe shopping and they are so comfortable, huge cushioning and impact absorption.
They are heavy and so they aren't to be used for fast runs or workouts. But excellent for recovery runs or slower runs where you're not looking to go fast. They will go well in my rotation.

Hi, when i try and add any item to my cart a notice keeps popping asking me to "please select a size" and it wont be added to my cart, although i already have the item and size selected. I have tried this on multiple items and signed in and even on a different pc! Is anyone else having this issue or could anyone please recommend a way to solve this issue. I had to turn off ad blocker. Which worked sometimes and not others. Used a second browser at another stage.
Are you using chrome? It didn't let me add to cart or even select different product types from the filter. Had this problem so I opened it on Edge (you could try other browsers) and it worked fine for me.
Just took my new Deviate Nitro 3 for a 4 km run and they are firm. The shoe box is tight! Didnt notice any tempo gains from the carbon plate. Also regularly run with Hoka Clifton 9 and Brooks Glycerin GTX.
Also, brand new shoes need to wear in. I'd allow 30 to 40km before getting the real feel of the shoe
Yeah, true, that aint going to change the tight shoe box though. Bruising for my little toe nail as a result yesterday 😂

I was too late for the Deviate Nitro 3 and MagMax but snapped 2 pairs of Velocity Nitro 3.
The condition appears to exclude already discounted item. I think they made a mistake with the promo code. I wonder if Puma does this sort of sale regularly?
