Glorious days are here again! :)

  • Anyone like to share?

    • I'd be keen on a large one to share :)

      • +1

        Send you a PM!

  • Woohoo, the timing is perfect for my renewal! Thanks for posting!

  • +1

Yay thank you!! First time renewing - do you know if I can use the same sim card and just enter code into existing account?

    • +2

Typically, you can. I would be surprised if it wasn't doable with this offer.

      https://help.koganmobile.co.nz/hc/en-us/articles/36003290309…

If you have received a Kogan Mobile Voucher Code, and you already have an activated Kogan Mobile SIM card, please follow the instructions below to apply this to your account:

      1. Login to your Kogan Mobile account by clicking here
      2. Click Renew from your account summary
      3. Enter your unique Voucher Code in the file provided

Note: If you are a new customer and need to activate your Kogan Mobile SIM card, you will be prompted to insert your unique Kogan Mobile Voucher Code during the activation process.

    • +1

Yeah, you just go to your account then copy the voucher code when you go Renew plan - i have voucher (or something along this line)

    • +1

Yeah you can I have been doing it for 2-3 years now, redeem the voucher 1-2 days prior to your end date to avoid any downtime.

    • +1

Just remember when you enter the code to existing account it renews the plan immediately and you forfeit any existing balance/days of current plan. So best to renew on the last day of current plan.

    • +3

Make sure you turn off auto renew once you have added your voucher code.
From memory it re-enables even if you had it turned off previously.

      • Solid reminder, thank you

  • Anyone want to split a large? I will have a spare.

    • keen, pm me details if you still got it

      • Just waiting for the codes to come through. Ill message you when they do

      • Fixed. See comment below from Mr Kogan.

  • +3

    • Likewise. Left Kogan at the end of January and won't be returning until BOGOF is offered on the Small or Medium plans again.

Apologies, our system has had an address issue, so if it wasn't working please try again now

  • Keen to go halves on a large if anybody is keen. Cheers

    • Keen pm me please

      • PMed cheers

  • It's a fantastic deal price wise but I've definitely had issues with service throughout the year. How has everyone else found the service?

    • +1

I've found not great coverage/service. However, my work phone (on One NZ) is bad in the same places - so I put this down to One NZ (which Kogan uses) rather than Kogan. I was previously on Spark, which seemed to have much better coverage in the Lower/Central NI rurally.

Their customer service has been great the one time I contacted them to find out when my monthly allowance renewed (it doesn't show on the app!) via Live Chat.

The cost imo far outweighs One's poor reception though.

    • Im in Marlborough but often venture over the top of the south and down to Chch - have not had any issues! You can always try the 30 day starter pack for $5 to see how it goes reception wise first, before signing up for the year?

Also found customer service live chat really good.

  • A heads up, me and my family have been having Kogan mobile reception issues on and off the last couple of months. Poor reception and slow data. Probably just my location (in hawkes bay) but really annoying given my family and I are locked in for anther 9 months.

I have been a Kogan mobile user for a couple of years and it has only recently been an issue.

    • It's good in Auckland. Have you contacted customer service? Might get a full or partial refund

    • Check with One NZ about cell towers and such in you area since they use the vodafone/one network, could be move or a down one thats causing issues

  • anyone keen to share a large? cheers

    • Keen, just DM’ed you

      • didn't receive your message

  • Anyone keen to split it?

  • wow, just in time!

  • Perfect timing :-)

If anyone wants to split a large just PM me - will have one available when the codes come through.

    • Yeah I want to but not sure how not to get scammed on this site.

Any one have ideas not to get my money taken?

      • +1

Many on here used a Trade Me auction last time

      • Maybe you can buy the voucher and sell the other one yourself.

    • Found someone pending SIM pickup, thanks people :-)

  • I purchased Extra large BOGOF during the last promotion, but I only need a Large. If anyone is interested in taking the Extra large off my hands, that'd be great!
Needs to be activated by 31/03/25, I have the sim cards on hand and unopened.

    • Can't PM you.

  • +1

Worst customer service ever @ kogan.com. Took 3 weeks for sim to arrive and they are of no help. Kogan mobile NZ customer service is much better than the one based in Oz if u need any help.

  • Anyone in nelson keen to share dm me…

  • Anyone in Auckland or Wellington keen to split a Large?

    • I'm in Auckland, we can split it, pm me.

    • Hi, is this still available? Im in Auckland looking to split a Large

  • So you don't get unlimited slower data if you run out of GBs, unlike Skinny?

  • I am renewing in September/October. But last time, I only have 40% on Large … So I have to bite the dust and buy 40% of Large and full price small for partner (because there are no need to large).
Pondering if I need to sacrifice 6months and join the March renewal that seem to have more consistent 50% off ….based on historical discount pattern …

    • +2

You won't need to sacrifice 6 months as they voucher doesn't expire until the 31st May as long as you purchase prior to the 30th March.
In saying that, it's still a lot you would be sacrificing.

At 40% off a large you would have paid $198 last time instead of $165 under this deal.
Is it really worth a $33 saving in total and losing the remainder of your current plan? Remember if you change there is no guarantee it will be 50% off this time next year.

      • Agree. Last time I paid 198 + 160 ~ 360 vs 330 now with way more data. My renewal end of September and if I buying now, would sacrifice June, July, August, September ~ 4 months ~ $120
Or I can just "bridge" with monthly plan, tight data from September to March, 6months: 6x25 + 6x15 ~ $240 then hope there will be a BOGOF in March 2026 …
It would be nice if Kogan can give us some hint about their discount planing ;-)
