Unless I'm reading the model number wrong, it reviews pretty well on rtings

That's the thing. Hisense international models are usually inferior compare to their US counterpart despite sharing model numbers.

          • @Zyo: Ahh really? They keep the same model numbers but swap out the tvs for the international market? That's so dirty! Why does the US deserve better than the rest of us Hisense?

            • +2

@cutcutcut: It's not just HiSense. Samsung's Galaxy S24/S24+ use Snapdragon CPUs in US and China which are superior than their Exynos based chips released for international market, even though they share the same name.

              • @Zyo: That's so disappointing. I don't have to even check to know that it's all probably cheaper in the states too. Why they gotta do us dirty like that.

We bought a Hisense this year, it has ads. It also has an artwork that you can't turn off that has screensavers of random art. It's got some deeply irritating smart TV features. Wouldn't recommend.

Ah interesting model. When do the ads appear?

    • Where are the ads?

If it's on the homescreen.. basically every single TV sold these days have them from all brands.

    • Same. Quality is good, but the smart features annoy the hell out of me, especially the vidaa voice assistant, it just randomly pick up conversation even if nothing was pressed.

  • Just use apps only mode stops the ads
