Is there only one model and colour of the s24 available (256/8 violet)? Everything else is showing as coming soon.

Same with the other phones, just one storage option and two colours.

And the s24 with a base price of $1549, not $1649.

The site feels barren.

    EIther way personally I think it's much more Christmas period and Samsung store incompetence/weirdness, From what I've seen they've had persistent stock problems at least for the last 2 months or so on their current gen phones especially during their flash sales. While this stock problem was mostly like that before the flash sale, that's probably Christmas. They seem to want to sell a lot on their store, but for whatever reason don't seem to be willing to stock it appropriately. I don't know if there's some weird internal system which means they 'pay' more for the phones from some part of Samsung if they order them for selling from a certain time or what.
    
    And it's not like these have permanently gone out of stock then never come back, some have go into and out of stock. More significantly this has often included the FoldZ and FlipZ which AFAIK aren't due for replacement for quite a few months.

      The bulk of this deal comes from the trade-in bonus. Trading a phone is required to get that.

Managed to get a S24+ 256GB for $227.95. Trade in (Pixel 8 Pro 256GB) + 10% members + 10% first order + $50 (LYZ). Pretty good I'd say.

    It's my wife's phone. It's mostly fine but the most annoying thing, and the reason to change is it will randomly drop (fairly frequently) during phone calls and the microphone either starts late or stop early when you send voice messages (WhatsApp etc).
    $650 on TradeMe is effectively $600 after fees. I also don't have another phone for trade-in so that's not too bad a deal. TradeMe pricing is very inconsistent and can be disappointing sometimes. It is also too late in the year to sell stuff, especially competing with all of the "unwanted gifts" after Christmas.
    S24+ is definitely better hardware wise. Google's software is arguably better but there is really nothing that stands out. Especially most the selling point features doesn't work in NZ. The photo editing features are nice but I don't think my wife used it once after playing around with it after she got it.

      $1700 (probably that's the retail price now) phone for only $230 to change is a pretty good deal especially if your phone was faulty. It's not the sort of thing I would sell on trademe without pointing those faults out and getting considerably less for the pixel..

        @pdevonporf: Yeah I was contemplating if I should get the new S25 series on pre-order. There is rumour that S25 series will use Snapdragon 8 Elite cross the board which is tempting, but we are not gamers or use any performance demanding apps so it is not a must have. Heck I use my S24+ with light performance mode permanently and can't feel any difference. High chance it would cost close to $1000 after trade-in (even with EPP), or bundled with a watch or whatever else I don't have a need for and have to sell it among all of the other people who pre-ordered.
        Given I myself have traded a Pixel 6 4 months ago for the same phone for $900, this is a steal.

    I did a trade in November 20 and when I got the trade-in details and postage instructions, it stated they wanted the phone within seven days and no longer than 21 days otherwise the trade-in value could be adjusted but at the top of the email it said the trade was valid to January 19, 2025

        @cosmicstarhorse: Seven days from you receiving your device they want it sent but up to 21 days before they can deduct the value of your trade, but then it has another date which says you have a month they will guarantee that trade-in value'.
        This trade was done around 28 October and this is what is written in their instructions. Incidentally, this was my trade on a S24+ $40 to change.

    For clarity do you mean the education EPP? If so getting exact same price seems a bit weird to me. It should be more, since education EPP doesn't have the current tradein bonus etc. You can add UPGRADES24 but it should still end up quite a bit higher

  It's a lottery with Samsung sometimes I purchased one day later arrived others four or five after they dispatched the phone it's really in the hands of the couriers. Even the website is not very accurate I've had things delivered and their website says dispatched or nothing at all then an email saying it has been delivered. Don't worry about the trade-in it's the holidays. And they probably aren't assessing phones anyway.

        @pdevonporf: Not quite. I mean yeah they've blocked a lot but as mentioned by @BJ , @stifilz and @patwobbly you can use LYZ codes. While these were called survey codes, I tried twice yesterday and today and was given a SNN both times after doing a survey. I only got LYZ by asking the agent specifically saying I sometimes have problems with SNN. First agent just gave LYZ. Second agent asked me to screenshot the problem which I did then said it was because stacking wasn't allowed but I said my friend found an LYZ code worked so they finally gave me one. That said I can confirm LYZ still doesn't stack with each other.

  I'm sure they will but I doubt it will be as good as this sale for their flagship hpones if you had any tradein at least on the normal site. Slightly chance EPP might be better for some devices but I still doubt it. So far their flash sales have been best sales due to the generous tradein bonuses which I doubt they'd have for boxing day.
