Now, just personal experience…I have accumulated a bunch of those over the past year and recently I noticed a couple of them were "past" their expiry time (as in, month 4 instead of before 3). I panicked and entered them online, accepted without an issue. Bought a nice suitcase and some other stuff, and just paid for shipping.
I wouldn't recommend this on the regular, but…

I failed to mention that you can add these to your account gradually and build your credit, so when you checkout, it actually picks how much credit you have loaded against your account instead of entering them on checkout.
Just be mindful of expiry dates, although I tend to use mine within their timeframe (apart from a couple of occasions I thought they were expired but they were still accepted. Do as I say, not as I do).

Yep. I already have.
On my credit tab, it shows as expiring in 6 months. My previous credit still has five months
