  • Seems quite a few options shaping up at the sub-$700 price point.

    Have a 1070
Disappointed this isn't much of an upgrade

  • +1

Praying for a 3070 to drop below 1k

    • +7

While you're at it, also pray for 3080s to be <1k. Actually if you have direct line to Him, ask for fuel to go back to below 200 would be great too.

      • +8

        I’ll make it easier:

Praying for @stevarja and myself to become billionaires

      • While you're at it, also pray for 3090s to be <1k lol.

    • -1

Hopefully they'll have a massive drop once intel releases their Alchemist and it's performance is competitive. But then again can't wait for the 4070 as their RTX and DLSS will surely surpass 3080 levels.

      • +1

Not gonna happen I'd say. Alchemist is still based on TSMC so it's the same supply constraints as everyone else.

        • Plus the ecosystem around NVIDIA cards is so good that most people won't want to jump ship early on.

  • +2

This will be because the 40xx series is right around the corner. Expect the whole lineup to drop back to their MSRP.

    • Trust me, they're gonna be 3k+

  • So cheap! :D

  • +1

Great to see GPU prices coming back to somewhat normality..
This old GTX 980 still does the trick for 1080p though, 7 years later.

  • PB Tech has a whole range of 3060s that available for pick up today for not a huge difference, only $50 dollars more for a Gigabyte Geforce RTX 3060 Eagle OC 2.0 LHR 12GB.

    https://www.pbtech.co.nz/category/components/video-cards/nvi…

    • Why pay $50 more for one of the worst 3060s made…

    • +1

This should be put in the OP. If you had to buy 1 of these cards it should not be the 2 fan ZOTAC.

  • Need prices to keep dropping so the that the 40 series is sold at RRP #dreams

  • -2

Avoid zotac twin fans like the plague

    • +3

Why? Oh wait, you're the troll account.

    • Zotac cards aren't even bad, they have good fans as well, the GPUs also look cool.

  • +1

    Now $599
