The Low Quantity Thread

See New Post for Year 2025 onwards.

Limited Quantity

If your deal has limited quantity, please mention it in the description. If the quantity is too small then your deal may be removed. As a guideline, less than 10 quantity of items is not enough for a deal unless the item has a high price.

This is the thread for these deals.

Can't be bothered with a post, but there are some very good prices with Lego Red Dot clearance at Farmers 30% off if you can be bothered sifting through the sets. Highest price to lowest:
    https://www.farmers.co.nz/toys/toys-red-dot/function-Buildin…

I'm not buying this time around, I've just blown my Lego budget on the roller coaster.

As per, search the model number to make sure you're getting the best price vs the farmers price.

    Free office chairs.

3x formway life & ~5 regular blue office chairs.

The Formway life chairs usually sell for $300+ used, but these examples are in extremely poor condition (rips in seat and backrest). Blue chairs are in better condition.

I am a big fan of the formway life chairs, but we already have two at home in much better condition.

Would be great for somebody who wants a proper $1000+ ergonomic office chair, but has no budget and doesn't care about aesthetics.

Sitting in the Lobby of Tri Star Gymnastics in Mt Roskill, with a free sign taped to them. Last week their were 4 of the Formway life, so only one taken over the past week…

    • Any left pls let me. Know

      • I only go their on Mondays, so don't know. You could try your luck at a phone call and ask if they still have any of the free office Chairs in their lobby (you would be doing them a favor taking away what otherwise is trash), or just try your luck by visiting.

As I mentioned only 1x of the formway life was taken the prior week, so your odds are OK.

    • Gone.

If you want to find clearance deals at Kmart, follow Kmart.com.au
    https://www.kmart.com.au/category/clearance/shop-all-clearan…

Today for example, the Gigi Table Lamp just went on clearance in Australia. That means it's on clearance in NZ too, but it has been completely removed from the website. Just went in and got one for $19.

I have the AU clearance section filtered for items that I would actually buy. Too many items to go through otherwise.

    • +10

I have a filter applied too - it's called 'Wakrak The Guru', and is superior to anything else in my experience!

    • Mario lamp down to $5 and I'm still holding out lol

      • Sold out isn't it???

GoPro MAX Dual Battery Charger + Battery - $7 with free shipping.

    https://www.harveynorman.co.nz/cameras/camera-accessories/ac…

    • +1

Just a warning with these, they might not last very long maybe only a couple of months, the reviews often say they swell inside the camera. And GoPro doesn't offer a replacement warranty on them anymore. Sounds like a bad battery management system on the battery. As always with swelling lithium ions there is a fire risk

Delonghi Pinguino Portable Air Conditioner - White. 2.4Kw - $199 @ Noel Leeming - Seems to be $949.99 on the Delongi website!

    https://www.noelleeming.co.nz/p/delonghi-pinguino-portable-a…

    • Seems good for the price, but keep in mind it's cooling-only and doesn't have a heating mode.

    • That's a crazy deal. Likely good enough that there would be a decent margin for resell, for a person who has storage space & time on their hands.

Buy a bunch, store untill summer, then sell for ~$500 each…

    • Thats crazy cheap wtf

      • Must be a reason…

        • Probs EOL I use to work at Noels a couple of years ago and from memory these never went on this hard a discount from what I can remember lol.
Afaik, they were pretty effective for being air conditioners.

          • @1ys23: Reviews are pretty terrible. Noisy AF, hose to outside is bad quality, and not insulated so ends up dumping heat inside as it’s trying to exhaust it and making the unit fairly inefficient.
Plus it’s cooling only, and other options allow Heatpump mode too so it’s missing that

            • +1

              @Tmurder91: True that hahaha

            • @Tmurder91: Portable air conditioner can't be compared to a split wall heat pump but they do work despite all the things you listed being true.

Suspect this is a pricing error $69 for Ryzen 5600 so YMMV

    • +2

Looks like its been fixed to $269 now

      • Mines showing closed too, with a price set as $0
Credit card still shows as pending so will see what happens in the next few days.
I suspect we will get an email this evening with confirmation of the error and that it’s being refunded

      • My credit card shows the transaction as cleared with an immediate refund so clearly not honouring which is expected.

No word from them though. I kinda expected better of them, ie an email acknowledging the pricing error as they are normally good to deal with

        • +1

Just got an email now apologizing for the mistake.

We would like to apologise for the mistake we had on our website with the price for AMD Ryzen 5 5600 yesterday on the website. We are still figuring out how we managed to do it but as you would probably know the price was wrong and it was reverted to the correct price within minutes.

Regrettably we had to cancel and refund your order as we cannot fulfil the order at that price. Please note, we have stock of the CPU in our warehouse which is ready to go and feel free to purchase it by clicking (here).

          • @Wakrak: Was just signing on here to say that same thing!

Was worth a shot anyway, but they just aren't big enough to let something like that slide I guess. Just need PB Tech to stuff up the price like this haha

    • Crikey. Just bought one but fully expecting my order to get cancelled. Doesn't help that there are 75 people subscribed to this thread 😄

    • Nice spot!!
Just picked up one too, looks like this will get cheapied and cancelled, but worth a shot for sure!

    • I'll give it a crack

EDIT: Order status is showing as 'closed'. Not sure if this means cancelled?

  • +3

I wonder how many upvotes i would have got had I posted this stuff as a deal
With all the convo gong here🤔

But then also only the die hard cheapies usually see this so means more for us 😁

    • Ffp2/Kn95 Face Masks 20 Pack for $7.49 seems decent.

      • I can't verify from personal experience, but someone told me that you can get these free from 'testing stations' (or whatever they are now called - where you collect RATs) if you tell them you (or maybe someone in your household) is 'high risk'.

Bear in mind, this is hear-say, and the person who told me (and therefore by extension, me too) could be completely wrong!

If someone knows more definitively one way or the other, please do correct or confirm.

Hey Wakrak, what do you think about doing an Amazon AU deal thread similar to this one? Quite often I'm on Amazon AU and I see a deal that's probably not worth posting as a deal on its own but would still be useful to someone if I had a thread like this to post it in.

Just came across this Star Wars Black Series Wedge Antilles Helmet for $126 delivered, Black Series helmets in NZ usually retail for $250+, if you can even get them that is. https://www.amazon.com.au/STAR-WARS-Antilles-Simulation-Role…

    • Similar thread over on OzBargain. Some deals (food etc) obviously not viable to us with shipping costs factored in (unless you can hit shipping threshold)

      https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/716496

    • Why isn't this deal worth posting as a deal on its own? Cheapies post Amazon AU deals all the time. Seems like a good deal for those that want it but it certainly doesn't belong in the Low Quantity thread.

      • I think it's too niche to warrant its own deal. Plus I don't want to use up my posting limit on Black Friday eve in case some really good Black Friday deals appear tonight that I can share. You can post it if you like.

        • +1

To be honest MOST of the deals posted on Deals page are very niche. Examples include e-bikes, tents etc that only a few will actually take advantage of. If not for the niche deals, all you'll ever see on Deals page are household goods/appliances and dining/food deals that everybody can use. You'll probably find more cheapies that are Star Wars fans and Trekkies than cheapies that ride e-bikes/goes camping.

I can understand the posting limit concern though…can be quite the dilemma come Black Friday.

          • +1

@CheapieSniper: Completey agree with this - especially considering that, I believe, 93.6% of the population are one or both of Star Wars / StarTrek fans.

    • I asked the Mods a somewhat similar question a while back (2021 I think). Their response was that they'd prefer these finds be posted as deals rather than in a forum discussion.

I asked because I always come across deals that I cannot be bothered posting. Because of their response, I allude to these offers in related comment sections instead.

I think there's also a thread on OzBargain where people can post what they think might be a decent deal, and anyone is free to give it a proper post. Don't know if that's still going or not though.

      • +2

I think that would be to do with the business making money through affiliate links rather than the community spirit?

So the good news is they arrived, they are Apple AirPods 2nd generation - they have HK price tags on them, checked the coverage on the Apple website and they both say purchased September 2021.

      Model mv7n2zp

      • That's great news. Thanks for confirming.

    • Great deal for the wired charging case, thanks OP.

    • Awesome deal, thanks OP!

On the wired case link, the title states 2nd gen, but when you scroll down to features and specs it says 1st gen. I assume the AirPods themselves are the 2nd gen but the wired case is considered 1st gen?

      • +3

There's going to be a problem if Apple AirPods 2 doesn't mean Apple AirPods (2nd generation).

        • Anyones AirPods arrive yet? Or even been sent?
