Saw the deal on Instagram have no clue how long its be going for and can't find any terms and conditions so I dont know when it will end, I've never brought from them, It seem a bit pricey, but if you like the stuff a good time to pick it up now. The Deal will automatically applies when you add more than $50 worth of goods to your cart, I dont know if they will continue to add the deal if you add it with a subscription but I'm guessing not.

  • Good God $143 for 500g of freeze dried boysenberries! Decisions decisions, I could either spend $143 OR go buy a 500gm bag of mixed frozen berries from Countdown for $5, let them defrost, then put them on a tray in the freezer for a few weeks and freeze dry them myself. Hmm, what to do what to do?

It's 500 grams after drying, from a quick Google it takes approx 1kg of fresh berries to make 100 grams of freeze dried. So that'd be $55 at countdown from what I can see. Plus this bag is of only whole berries, so throw out any that are crushed (which is a hell of a lot when buying frozen). And you don't just put them on a tray in the freezer, they go into special equipment to remove all moisture. The flavour is super intense and you would use a tiny amount in a dessert or something so I imagine that bulk pack is aimed at restaurants etc. So while I agree, I'm not in the market to be buying freeze dried berries they are just generally an expensive purchase, your comparison doesn't match at all

You can easily freeze dry fruit in a normal freezer.
