    The P725 drops the Quantum Dot panel for a Direct LED backlight, so our expectations is that black levels and contrast will take a knock and blooming will be more obvious. Again, there’s no HDR10+, but there is Dolby Vision HDR, as well as Atmos for better sound processing.

      Dolby vision is much more prevalent than HDR+.
      The latter is basically a Samsung only format and a sorry excuse for their inability (cheap out) on not licensing/implementing Dolby vision.

    Nice deal but do these guys ever fulfil their online orders? They always cancel the order saying no stock

    • Yep that's why it might be best to try pricematch elsewhere. I'm not too familiar with JB Hi-Fi NZ & pricematching, but Noel Leeming might be alright.

      • Odd that it only comes up when not logged in, if you log in it goes back to normal price

      • Heya. So I gave 1 tv to my sis & installed the other in the bedroom.
        After setup, Sis' tv had terrible lag btwn remote input & response on tv. Re-pairing the remote worked. Been ok since. Didnt experience tht in my tv tho.

        Both tvs tk time to boot up (both cold boot & frm standby). opening netflix/disney+ apps specifically, the 1st time after powering on, takes a while, like sometimes upto a minute. Only hv 4~5 apps installed on tv - netflix, disney, prime video, YouTube & Spotify.

        Both tvs picture & sound quality was meh… Had to tweak arnd settings to see what worked and finally adjusted to my liking. Sis did d same.

        Overall interface speeds feel like an android phone frm 2015~2016 era wit low powered cpu & less ram.
        Thinking abt using a chromecast with Google tv to overcome this.

        I would give it a 6/10 rating honestly.

        • Video and audio is still much better than anything else under 1000 in my opinion even tho tweaking is definitely needed , i also use mine as a bedroom tv and personally notice no lag with apps, takes a few seconds to turn on from standby

  • Damn it, I saw this deal when it was originally posted however because of my bad past experience with Smith City, I ignored it and didn't check it again when the price reduced at noel leeming :( have been looking for a new tv for my bedroom for a long time now

  • FYI if you're going to price match, make sure you take a screenshot of the item and price.

      Did it work for you? They always check the price/stock from the competitor's website at the time of price match in my experience.

  • My local NL store confirmed that they'll do one for me at $600 if i can provide the proof as in the phone number used while purchasing or the purchase receipt to prove it has been sold at that price by a NL.
