  What makes these special as compared to a normal SD card of that size? I thought the Switch would accept any unless they went proprietary

    It's probably just the branding that makes it 'special'. I'm not clued-up though when it comes to MicroSD cards so there could be another reason.

    It's got to do with the sd card read and write speeds. And it's has Nintendo slapped on it
