Arlo Wire-Free Pro 2 (2 Cam) $574.33, Wire-Free Pro 2 (4 Cam) $957.24 @ PB Tech ($488.19 & $813.66 @ Bunnings via Price Match)

80

Don't know much about home security, but both items seem to be well reviewed on PB Tech.
Checked prices on Geekzone, PriceSpy & Price Me, and pricematch would take it to lowest possible price in New Zealand since being tracked (maybe).

If Bunnings will do price match (click for Bunnings range)

Arlo Wire-Free Pro 2, VMS4230P (2 Camera)
- PB Tech $574.33
- Bunnings $788 / Price match - 15% ($86.14) = $488.19
- Available in-store only (check online for Bunnings store availability)

Arlo Wire-Free Pro 2, VMS4430P (4 camera)
- PB Tech $957.24
- Bunnings $1238 / Price match - 15% ($143.58) = $813.66
- Available in-store only (check online for Bunnings store availability)

If only Bunnings sold the single add on camera as well for a potential price match. I've said before, really happy with the Arlo Pro 2 except for the battery life which needs monthly charging…

    • You can get the solar panel add-on which pretty much eliminates charging. Not cheap of course, but worth it I feel.

      • Good idea - looks to be sold through the Market as well - perhaps next time they offer voucher codes to use…

  • thanks for sharing, i have two Arlo Pro system, both hub failed, one failed at 15 months, the other failed just over two years, the camaras are fine though

    • Can you elaborate on how the hubs failed? Mine is coming up to a year old so curious as to what to look out for… eg, were you recording to flash drive storage as well? Cheers.

      • They dont start properly, e.g power connected but the hub does not turn on hence non of the camera can connect, cant get warranty either as i purchased from Amazon so they wont do anything.

        • Same here. My Arlo hub(old model) also failed in about 2 years time. Just got stuck on the amberlight during boot-up. Sold the camera through TM. Not going back to Arlo.

@Banto: The most annoying bit is when i contacted Arlo, they told me i got 2 years of use so if it stop working is completely normal.
I uses wyze cam now, they are so much cheaper and works really so far.

            • @Mark2018: Gees… You don't see that in their marketing material for the product haha… In other words it means it's time to upgrade to the next model…

      • No, i dont use flash drive, i just use their 7 day free cloud storage

        • Ok good to know thanks.

    ugh subscription based security cams..next!

    • You get a week free cloud storage. Yes you can pay a subscription IF you want storage for longer than a week. But why would you need that? You can download anything yourself if you need longer term storage.

      • Wait so you can use your own storage?

        • I believe the Arlo Pro 2 has flash drive storage capability, but I only rely on the free 7 days rolling cloud storage (don't need a paid subscription for this for the Pro 2). Like Kiwical has said, just download what footage you need from the cloud before 7 days has expired.

  • If you want to upgrade your camera, get the new spotlight one instead. https://www.pbtech.co.nz/product/CCTALO2030/Arlo-Essential-W…

    • True, but you might have to wait a while for the price to be this low again. Has been a similar price 2/3 times over the past two years, but difficult to tell whether it's because of PB Tech or another store like Noel Leeming (currently $597 & $957).

  • Does anyone know how long this special will run for on PBtech?

Just bought it from Bunning for around $507. They wouldn't do the 15% off on the price match to PB Tech due to being on a 'sale' but did the 15% price match to Harvey Norman which has it for $597 (Same price as it is for Noel Leeming price)

    • That’s odd, I’m sure it doesn’t matter if the item is on sale or not
      https://www.bunnings.co.nz/price-policy

      • Yep I think it was that specific store being a pain as I raised that with them as well but they wouldn't budge on the price and said for the sale items they would only match the price and would not do the 15% reduction against sale items. So I ended up getting the 15% off on top of the Noel Lemmings/Harvey Norman prices due to those being the normal prices.

        • Worth an email to bunnings head office to let them know that store isn’t playing by their own rules
