Google TV Streamer $126.42 + Shipping ($0 C&C/ in-Store) @ PB Tech

100

I've been keeping an eye out for a deal on a Google TV Streamer from an NZ retailer (latest iteration of Chromecast, although now ~1.5years old).

I'd seen it in the $160-$180 range mostly. According to PriceSpy, seems to be the lowest it's been now at $135.
Must be some sort of supplier deal as multiple retailers at the $135 price - or perhaps just market competition at work.

Appears it doesn't come with an HDMI cable in box, which is required for it to function. Make sure to pick one up too if you don't have a spare lying around.

Noel Leeming - $129
JB Hi-Fi - $135
Harvey Norman - $135

Could try your luck price-matching at The Warehouse with PB Tech via The Mall ($124.43)

      It's $116 now

    • No luck with this. Tried both WH & NL. Ended up getting it for $119 using $10 coupon from NL.

Any extra discount codes / promos floating out there we can stack for these websites?

You could sign up for a new myNoel Leeming account and get a $10 off $100 code emailed straight away.
That would usually stack with one of the Noel Leeming birthday vouchers ($20 off $100) if you have one - I don't have one to test at the moment though.

      • Do you still get Birthday vouchers? I have my birthday set on my account but I don't think I have received any. Birthday coming in few days so normally when do they send the coupon?

        • +1

Yes they still do the birthday vouchers.
I had one set for the 1st Feb and received the voucher on the day.

          • @bigcheese: Aah, so you receive it on your birthday. I thought, it was on the month.

@ace310: The birthday was set for the 1st Feb on that particular account which was the day I received it, although that may have been when all Feb birthdays were sent.

I do have another one set for a few days time (my actual birthday) so will see if I get one for that too.

  • Wonder if this is google exiting more hardware from the local market or something new is on the way?

  • Now $126.42 PB Tech, $129 Noel Leeming

  • Anyone with this can confirm if Dolby Vision works or not? I am having conflicting info online.

Dolby Vision Profile 7 (FEL/MEL) is not supported - see here
Depending on the app, there may be workarounds. In some cases, apps can force playback to fall back to HDR10.
