When you go to link, the ram says that it's 'for Intel Z170 Platform'.
According to this reddit thread, it's a marketing ploy.

And yeah the Z170 plaform was released five years ago and it was basically just marketing. Keeping that marketing on the product today just smacks of laziness. Can't even by Z170 anymore lol.
