    Not sure. I got an email straight after that said:

    Thank You For Registering
    This email has been sent to confirm that you have been successfully registered for the promotion outlined below.

    Member Number: xxx

    Promotion: Instant Spire - Q4/Registration

    Track your progress and see how close you are to new rewards.

    But my account still shows I'm at club level.

This promotion was targeted to individual members based on certain eligibility criteria, and we have determined you were not a targeted member and do not meet the eligibility criteria. As a result we’ve downgraded your status to your previous member tier.

  I got in touch with their customer service team, who said the promotion is applied instantly if you were a current member (just log out and back in). If you made an account just now to get this offer, there is a 10 day hold applied before the offer activates.

  To check if you successfully signed up, check the offers page. You should see 'Instant Spire - Q4/Registration'

  FYI - you need to sign up, be logged in, then click the actual Cheapies link which will take you to an activation page for the deal.

  No success for me, I get this when clicking on it after registering:
  The code you entered is invalid for your membership. Please check the qualification requirements for your country, region or program. For further assistance please visit the IHG® Rewards Club Customer Care Center page.

  Offers page says this:

  Conveniently they let you change your email address and don't validate it, so I logged back in and changed my email address to a fake one and binned my address as I probably won't ever use my account.
