i got a micro sd card from them, was fake, sent them proof, they would not refund, paypal got involved, paypal repaid me and said they get lots of complaints and probably wouldn't support them much longer.

surprised their deals are still allowed on cheapies

    • I've had pretty good dealings with Banggood, but they're basically just a front end shop for aliexpress.

On occasions I've had issues, they've at times been a bit weird about it and asked for the likes of a video?

Bottom line is you're buying from some place overseas, so if you're concerned enough about it then just don't.
Anything you buy from there may turn up damaged, and may get stopped at customs (like a recent xiaomi fitness band of mine) for ages because they didn't fill the paperwork out properly etc. It is what it is, just decide if it's for you or not.

    • Yes, it's a major site that's been around a long time.

Recently bought a xiaomi mi 9se and never arrived. Had to go through a PayPal dispute to get my money back as they refused to refund. All my previous purchases have been fine.

Take a look at Reddit page they seem to have lots of issue with shipping lately. I'd definitely be careful and make sure you have something to get your money back (either PayPal or credit card charge back) in case item doesn't arrive.

  • Not that I have any use for it, but that's actually a pretty cool phone for someone who needs something like that.

This kind of novel shit is what major phone manufacturers need to look into. I bet there's huge untapped markets like this all over the place.

    • Yeah would be ace for the construction industry
