10c/Litre off Fuel @ Mobil (Today Only 22/3)

70

I think the deal was reactivated.

Just saw an ad on the 10 cents off. Minimum spend of $40.

If you're in Wellington city, I know Kilbirnie Mobil is usually 2 cents cheaper than others around.

  • Went to Mobil this morning and got $40 of 91, just checked my statement and was indeed charged $40.

When I go to Caltex and use my AA Smartfuel card, if I get say $100 of petrol, then I will be charged $94 but the pump will still show $100 worth.

So wonder if I got the discount or not.. The Mobil I went to isn't on the list of excluded stations, but tbh I wouldn't be surprised if they pulled a fast one.. Mobil has got to be the worst place to go, every single time and place they ask if you want something else like a drink or chocolate bar. And I can't recall a single time I've been into a Mobil that has had more than 2 people working at once.

    Anyway.. rant over.

    • Good point. However, I'm pretty sure they had the price 10cents/litre cheaper. Z does that as well, when they had the 10cent off days, the price is adjusted already. - if this makes sense

      • "The fuel discount is given at time of the in-store purchase, and no other discounts apply." The price was not reduced on the pump.

    • Always get the till receipt, it will state clearly if the discount was applied or not.

    • After reading the terms and conditions, it appears you didn't receive any discount. "The fuel discount is given at time of the in-store purchase, and no other discounts apply." $40 is the amount on the pump. Because you reached the minimum spend, you should have paid $40 minus 10 cents on every litre of fuel you purchased. You really should have got a receipt so you could complain to Mobil that you didn't recieve the entitled offer.

  • Well I needed petrol anyway, the 10c off was the difference between getting $20 and $40. Not even a huge saving but just reinforces my opinion of Mobil.
