Good one Wakrak 👌
Thank you, this is the lowest I have ever seen it! Ultimate is BEST!
Ah, you missed the glory days of the $10 4KG pack
i still regret only getting 40kg worth then

Can't actually remember for sure how much I bought, but we're still going.
However, only one unopened left in the garage now :-(
Might have to toddle off down to TWL….
Wow, that's amazing! I did miss that!
The PAK'n SAVE does have a "limit of 4". Does that fall under Warehouse's limited quantity exclusion?
I'd say it would but worth a shot anyway.
Surely the limit clause under TWL relates to limited quantity of stock available - like only 200 nationwide at X price etc.
Got it matched at a store in the lower North Island and oh boy the staff weren't happy about it.
I don't know why the staff weren't happy… it's the company that has to match it, not using their own money…I would be happy if I could support a customer…
The manager outright refused to match it until I pulled up the price promise policy on my phone and asked then to point out where laundry powder or supermarkets were excluded lol… Whole ordeal took about 15 mins.
Meanwhile the checkout lady that I had just took one look at it and said yeah no problem we will match that. Was able to buy 4 boxes.
Guess just depends on the store and people.

If it matters enough to you, maybe write to the Head Office, and tell them what your experience was, that you won't be shopping there again, and that you will be telling anyone that will listen about your experience (which is kind of true to some extent already, since you posted here, and I am right behind you!)
Never know - you might get sent a voucher or something :-)
@Alan6984: I doubt that. I think they might change the policy to exclude non-local competitors if they keep receiving these types of complaints.

Do you work there?
I hate these type of people, the time wasted in these ordeals would be better used to manage the store.
We had one like this when I worked in retail and he was a literal bosses lap dog.
It’s a huge corporation one deal like this is literally pocket change for them.
Could also price match at Chemist Warehouse in store, should bring it down to $5.60

I got told something odd today - was attempting to Price Match the M&Ms, and was told that 'The Warehouse doesn't price match supermarket prices.' This just seems bizarre, given that their price promise says that "Grocery products and requests to match against grocery retailers can only be price matched instore and will not be price matched online." What's the point of having a price match policy specifically for groceries if you can't price match against supermarkets?
Didn't make a fuss as I have worked retail before and have empathy for staff. Do individual staff get in trouble if they approve too many price matches or something? Otherwise I can't see the motivation for individual staff/stores to just make up price promise policies.

There wouldn't be much of one, but then I don't believe that you are being fair to the organisation - that's not TWL's policy, but rather a made up one that the specific staff member told you for whatever reason, perhaps they just couldn't be bothered to do the process?
Yeah, what I meant was that given it would be pretty pointless to have a price match policy specifically for groceries if you don't price match supermarkets, it seems likely that there is not in fact a general Warehouse policy against price matching supermarkets at that was something made up by the particular worker at the store.
I wrote to customer service and they apparently forwarded my issue to the store. I received a bonkers email shortly after supposedly from the store saying that 'their records' show that the price match was in fact applied to my purchase. But it wasn't (it was refused), I didn't make any purchases, and while I was in the store I didn't give anyone any personal details. So unless they are doing some super sketchy facial recognition stuff they can't possibly have any records of my visit to the store.
Successful at Petone but only after the poor checkout person checked twice with their manager. Very reluctant and not sure if they would do it again. Great deal!
Both call/text denied price match for me.
What does that mean. You tried to do a price match via text and call?
I tried via chat on the app and got denied then I called their customer support and got denied again.
It’s in-store only for grocery items
