An excellent deal on the new compact Epson EF-21G Mini Smart Laser Projector in Smoke Green (Model: V11HB35353).

This is a great portable unit featuring a laser light source and native 3LCD tech which ensures equal colour and white brightness (no rainbow effect like single-chip DLP competitors).

Key Specs:
* Brightness: 1,000 Lumens (Colour & White light output)
* Resolution: Full HD 1080p (16:9 Native Aspect Ratio)
* Light Source: Laser Diode (Long-lasting, low maintenance)
* Smart System: Built-in Google TV (with native Netflix, YouTube, etc.)
* Audio: Dual 5W built-in stereo speakers with Dolby Audio & Bluetooth out
* Ease of Use: 360-degree rotation (project on walls or ceiling), Auto Keystone, Auto Screen Fit, and Auto Obstacle Avoidance
* Weight: 2.3 kg (very portable)
* Warranty: 3-Year Manufacturer Warranty

I have checked other deals in NZ, about NZD$999 at the moment… it seems there was a deal about NZD $799 sometime ago.

  • In the market for a bedroom/camping projector like this one.
    How is this deal compared to the Xgimi Flip that Costco is selling?

  • RTings review

    "The Epson EpiqVision Mini EF21 is mediocre for movies. The projector's brightness is unremarkable, so it washes out quickly when a few lights are on. Inversely, its contrast is poor, so blacks are raised no matter how bright the scene is, which is most noticeable in dark rooms. This means that the projector doesn't excel in any room context"

    "The Epson EpiqVision Mini EF21 is definitely not a gaming‑first projector. It's limited to 1080p @ 60Hz, and input lag is extremely high, to the point that even slow single-player games feel sluggish."

    • this epson should be competitive under the 1k bucks range. otherwise, we will pay a lot more to get a better projector.

  • What’s with the different models. W vs G etc. is that just body colour?
