20

Hey Fellas,

ShopBack has launched its forever eSIM, which you only need to install once and can keep using for future trips by adding on a data package whenever needed.

There's also a welcome offer on the first Global 1GB plan for eligible users who are new to ShopBack eSIM. In NZ, that plan is currently NZD 0.

It comes with coverage across 160 plus countries, and each package is valid for 6 months, so it could be worth grabbing if you've got travel planned in the next little while.

Worth checking the landing page for:
- device compatibility
- destinations covered
- plan validity
- full offer terms and eligibility

Kinda annoying that there's nothing on the website for the following:

    • device compatibility
    • destinations covered
    • plan validity
    • full offer terms and eligibility

Fair call, and thanks for flagging it. We get that it’s frustrating when key details like compatibility, destinations, validity and eligibility are not clearly laid out on the website.

Those details are currently clearer in the app flow, but we’ll definitely pass this feedback on. If you want help checking anything before buying, feel free to DM us

  • I have having trouble of using the e sim. Does the e sim displayed as “ travel -plus “
After I activated, I can’t connect to the internet

Sorry to hear you're having trouble getting connected 😔

Yep, "Travel-Plus" is the correct name once activated, so that part's all good. The eSIM is designed to auto-connect to a local network on arrival, so if it's not pulling data, here's what's worth checking:

      • Make sure data roaming is turned on for the Travel-Plus line
      • Set Travel-Plus as the default line for mobile data (your primary SIM can stay active for calls/texts)
      • Try toggling airplane mode on then off, or restart your phone
      • Confirm the APN settings are correct (the activation guide walks through this)

A couple of helpful guides depending on your device:

If it's still not connecting after going through those, drop the support team a message at [email protected] with your device type and country you're in, and they can run a status check on the eSIM and data balance from their end 🙏
