Great price. 3 camel showing this at USD$370 early in life then dropping to $250. Now on clearance $100. The coupon and rounding brings it down to NZD$87.02 with free shipping.
Apparently some people don't like the sound it makes but at this price I'm very willing to give it a go.

    • I have a red switch it used to be considered the best for fps games.

  • Thanks OP!

  • Damn went out of stock while i was ordering it.

  • Agree site says out of stock

  • That was quick

  • I had two of these 4 years ago (one came with an Alienware PC I bought…and another they sent me for free because oh a shipping delay).

I remember I wasn't a fan and sold them both (can't remember why though).

  • Possibly back in stock? Was just able to add one to my cart and check out.

    • Yeah same, its been back in stock past 2 hours now or more.

  • Thank you, i just order one @ 3:45pm today

  • A wireless version would be great at this price.

    • I e got an aula f108, not low profile but feels like a decent solid mechanical keyboard for around $100. Not certain how much I trust temu sellers fmto get it when shopback offers cashback but it is on there.

As someone who collects mechanical keyboards and owning at least 25 across various different brands, I would just recommend looking at the Epomaker Aula F75. Don't need to mod it or anything, stock just sounds amazing already as it is. It's got a creamy sound profile and is wireless, hot swappable and has 3 connection modes. Every time I use it in the office, someone will ask me about it and a few have already purchased it based on just their initial impressions of it.

Cost me only around $100 NZD including shipping, brand new of course.

Other keyboard to look at is the KISNT KN85. Forgot how much I paid for this one, but it's really good too. Both of these have high reviews by keyboard enthusiasts. Recommend checking out the Youtube videos.

And if you want a really thocky experience, go for the Gateron Milky Yellow v3s. They work great in both keyboards.

In other words, you can get a good keyboard for around $100 and it has all the bells and whistles. $88 sounds cheap when you realize it's wired and it's probably not as good compared to the highly reviewed ones.

    • Pretty sure I paid around $70 for my Aula F75, agreed, very good keyboard

Yo, I need a 100% keyboard, because I hate smaller ones. What's decent and not stupidly priced? I run a smaller LemoNkey at work and hate it, doesn't even have a delete button :(

      • I'm the opposite. I hate full sized keyboards, so the ones I own are always either 85%, 75% or 68%. I have no need for the numpad keys. You can already get access to those keys on the normal 1~0 keys anyway. Anyway, I can't recommend anything to you because my use-case is different. I don't know what sound profile you prefer and what you look for in a keyboard (aside from something 100% and cheap). There's so much more I'd need to know in order to recommend something good.

I'd say go for the Royal Kludge RK920, or the Keychron K10 HE. Or, look at either Epomaker or Aula series for a 100% keyboard. Either that, or check out Hipyo Tech's Youtube channel, he literally just reviews keyboards.

Unrelated, but anyone reading this should also get a proper keycap and switch puller. I just bought one from Gateron recently and it's pretty good value for the price - https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005007458222391.html

        • Thanks

Was looking at the EPOMAKER X AULA F108 PRO. My colour pick is preorder though and who knows how long that'd be.

          • @Jexla: I got one of these, well the non pro model, it feels decent. Nicer than my old g512 and g612 from a typing experience. I didn't see value in the knob and screen to pay up the extra and figured I'd get better battery life not having the screen.

          • @Jexla: If you're buying from the Epomaker's website, then it'd probably take 4 weeks. The pre-order status can be misleading. I emailed them about this and they said that sometimes it's just showing pre-order because their backend system hasn't updated yet. But usually they get it shipped out pretty quickly. The order I placed last time was a non pre-order and that arrived within 2 weeks. There's also a permanent 10% discount code as well, just search online and you'll find it, that's what I did.

Or you can get from FB Marketplace or Aliexpress. I saw a few AULA F75s on FB Marketplace for like $60. Not what you want but you get my point.

          • @Jexla: Almost forgot, the Epomaker Galaxy100 is a good one too. I got that for my partner and like you, she also wants numpad on her keyboard. It's made of aluminium frame and is a bit heavy, but otherwise a good keyboard with a really creamy sound profile.

            • @NovaAlpha: Thanks again. The Galaxy100 is a 96% keyboard and I hate it lol. It's not just the numpad, but the rest of the keys too.

Cheers to @Everettpsycho for your input too.

        • Interesting that I couldn't stand not having a number pad. I have a cheapo gorilla gaming TKL board I had to use when my Logitech one got too bad and I hated it. Yes the number for is there but I'm so much faster and more accurate on a num pad to the extent that I cannot function when it's missing. I actually went back to wired until my f108 arrived just to get the pad back.

          • @Everettpsycho: Depends on your job I guess. I can imagine if you're doing a lot of admin work or anything related to spreadsheets and numbers, then you'd probably use numpad a lot.

I actually have a custom 12-key keyboard that I programmed myself to use with Autohotkey. Each key does different things and I can double or triple press (or more) the same key and it'll do something else, which means I could have at least 36 different combinations. I typically use it to quickly switch between apps without having to look at which app is on which monitor, or go into the start menu to launch it, etc. It's basically a poor man's version of the Elgato stream deck (which I also have), or the Logitech MX Creative Console (which I also own, but it's a bit MEH).

That means I technically still have a numpad, except that I can move it anywhere I want and it's modular and I can separate it from my main keyboard setup. I usually have my custom 12-key keyboard to the left of my main keyboard, so that when I'm doing any coding work, I can keep my left hand on either keyboards while having my right hand on the mouse for other tasks.

            • @NovaAlpha: I was tempted by TKL and a number pad but thought it was easier sticking with full size. Work won't let me use auto hot key which unfortunately limits what I can do.

              • @Everettpsycho: When you say work won't let you use it, how do you mean exactly? AHK is portable and doesn't need to run as admin, unless the functions you're trying to use are strictly reliant on elevated system calls/APIs. Most of the time, you can run it just fine, even in some corporate banking environments that's super locked down, you may still use it and get away with it (not that I'm encouraging you to do so, but just saying on a technical level it's possible). Not to mention you can compile your script into exe using AHK and that can get around restrictions sometimes.

Even in corporate environments where AI is blocked due to potential data leak of company confidential data, there are tons of ways around it. I can bypass MDM policies enforced by enterprise level solutions like InTune / Company Portal and I'm not even a security researcher, I just dabble in tech here and there. Anything is possible.

My order has arrived already, very impressed! Doesn't seem to make me any better at video games though..

Have you tried turning the RGB on? The evidence suggest this will help significantly!

    • I sent mine to work address. Wasn't expecting it to come this quick. Oh well

  • Was back in stock at 9am but sold out again now

  • Thanks in stock again for now

  • Hard to keep up with it toggling in and out

  • Just snagged one, hopefully it turns out good. have been using my current cherry mx blue keyboard for like a decade flawlessly.

  • Still available as at now - 7:30pm

  • I just got mine but finding the volume control wheel a bit "off". There is like a point where turning it suddenly requires more force (like getting over a bump or something) and then it turns normally until you get to that same point again.

Does anyone else have that or do I have a defective wheel?
