        I got the email today. But the price increase is only by $1. So it will be $86. Not going to bother for a change.

  Swapped to Mercury FibreClassic $49.50 month/12 months. They did make me wait until I was exactly 12 months out of term though haha.

  Sky offered me $55 Fibre Starter/12 months, which is what I was previously on.

  To be honest I didn't often miss the faster speeds when on Sky's 100/25Mbps, I only ever ran into the limit when downloading games and movies. So long as I planned ahead at little bit it wasn't an issue. I expect there's a huge portion of people who are "over subscribed" on their internet speed from what they realistically need.

    So many people are using WiFi for everything at home, and they are not even on WiFi6, let alone WiFi7, limiting their speeds to far below what they pay for.

    However, it subsidises the rest of us to some degree, and you can't tell them when they already know so much :-P

      Yes definitely, it's for sure taken into account in the pricing models. Mercury didn't even include their 100/25 plan in the half price deal, probably they wouldn't be making any money on it.

  I have been with Sky for a year and was on their $50 for 12 months 100/20 fibre plan. I see my plan has now jumped up to $65 a month on the latest invoice but they never told me there was any price rise. However they are offering new customers the same plan for $60 ($5 off for signing up for 12 month). Has anyone had any success from their retention team to resign up to a 12 month contract and get a discount? Or is it a case of having to move ISPs.

    I am with Sky broadband, the 100/20 plan and was paying $45pm. Realised it was going to jump to $65pm. The best I could get out of them was $60pm so went with that.

  With fibre plan prices going up, anyone know the current best deals for 100/20 plans? Currently paying $50 a month with sky but it jumps up to $70 next month after the 12 month contract ends as they have just put up their prices again

    $65/mo cheapest unless you get a supergold discount(-$5) or a sales incentive, the cheapest tend to be no frills(no modem included, limited or no phone support etc). It depends on your needs what you would pick and pay.
