  • No 0800 no.?

    • Correct. We don’t operate a 0800 number. Our team provides fast support via chat and our support portal or you can call our 09 number or request we call you back.

  • Jumped on the deal - thanks

FYi all - Code goes into the text box called 'comments' (took me awhile, to spot this, but it is helpfully stated in stated in the T&Cs section with a picture directing how to do it)

  • Any VDSL2 deals?

    • Afraid we are fibre plans only - Sorry!

  • Do you use CGNAT? IIf so can we opt out please?

    • Quick Googs
      https://support.simplybroadband.co.nz/faq/does-simply-broadb…

Our IP Addresses use CGNAT, a single public IP address, by default. However, we can arrange for a Public IP or a Static IP if required. An additional monthly fee will be required.

    • We do use CGNAT.

You can opt out of CGNAT and at Simply Broadband we offer two alternatives, both carry an additional monthly charge.

"Out of CGNAT" / Public IP costs $5.99 per month.
"Static IP" costs $10.99 per month.

  • Note that you will need your own router

And for those unaware (just for clarity's sake), Simply Broadband resells 2degrees or Devoli network and is owned by the same company that runs Broadband Compare.

    • Simply Broadband partners with Devoli. A multi award winning, specialist network provider in New Zealand. Our domestic network provides voice and data services across New Zealand, connected by 100G and 400G backhaul systems to over 26 data centres across the country. Our main nodes in Auckland are located in Ponsonby, Northcote, Mayoral Drive, Orbit Drive and Queen Street data centres, as well as co-location in DataVault, IBM and others.
We use these paths specifically to support the two distinct geographies of New Zealand and Australia, and our short-path options for both transit and Layer2 services provide the best possible latency between each geography.

Simply Broadband is a division of Global Compare Group. Global Compare Group is a leading digital media business based in New Zealand. The portfolio of businesses include Simply Broadband, PriceMe, NZ Compare & Broadband Compare amongst others.

We do not supply a router. We operate on BYO router only. We have individual step by step set up guides for 36 different router manufacturers and hundreds of different models. You can check router requirements here - https://support.simplybroadband.co.nz/settings

  • Oh god, I just signed up with your Fibre Plan last month as a new customer , can I claim this discount?

    • Sorry Jonathan126 - appreciate it is frustrating, but the promotion is for new sign-ups made during the offer period only.

  • Hi, am not able to signup.. looks like issue is with adding password.. not allow even the correct format. does anyone has this issue?

    • Plenty of orders coming in Victor so that must be a local issue I'm afraid. Give us a call if needed and one of the team can hopefully assist.

  • Hi, I would like to check if this route transits through the US.

    • Our Simply Broadband fibre network in New Zealand is delivered over local and international transit paths depending on routing and destination. For general traffic, we don’t guarantee or publish fixed international routing paths, and traffic may be dynamically routed via different international gateways for performance and resilience.
If you’re asking specifically about whether a given connection or destination transits through the US, this can vary by route and time of day, and would need to be checked on a case-by-case basis (e.g. using a traceroute to the specific destination IP).

  • I have signed up using promo code and got email to changeover on the requested date… but does not say anything about $20.26 credit or any payment details yet.

    • I’m guessing you’ve yet to receive an invoice?

Once your fibre broadband connection becomes active with Simply Broadband, we will discount the first 3 full monthly invoices

    • Hey victornz - As Wakrak said below. Discount will be applied and shown on the first 3 full months.

  • Hey @SimplyBroadband, for clarity, for Fibre Pro is it $99.99 AFTER the discount?

    What's the follow-on monthly fee?

    Thanks.

    • Hi Strangercheapie - $99.99 is the Pro rate BEFORE the discount. (Updated the deal to highlight this)

You will pay $79.73 for the Pro plan for the first 3 full months.

      Good value eh!

      • Very intriguing especially as I've thought about moving on from my current provider for some time.
However, I am away on holiday at present and not back in country until next month.
Any way this can work for me?
        Ta.

        • You can place the order any time within the promo period? Just order online - you can book the transfer for next month.
Promo is currently expiring 28th June unless our boys get through to the knock out round!

"The Back the Boys in White Credit offer runs from 11th June 2026 at 12:00 and expires on 28th June 2026 at 23:59 - unless extended due to results achieved by the New Zealand Men's Football Team in the 2026 FIFA World Cup*"

  • Just checking I currently have a Deco X53-DSL Modem with Onenz will it be ok with your plus or pro plan?

  • Awesome just applied thanks.

Note that my prev provider Skinny doesn't use account numbers bc they are prepaid (or at least this is what the customer service rep told me, and there's also nothing on my bill)… But the acc number field is compulsory in the sign up form. Have just put N/A though.
