Cheers @apocalypso! Just grabbed one as an upgrade to my aging Pope Water Tractor (which struggles a lot on longer grass).
Item arrived last Thursday, finally got to put it to the test on Friday. It worked well and provided good coverage - however - while packing it up I noticed that there are now two cracks in the cast iron frame at the front, on either side of the guide wheel. Has anyone else had issues like this? Trying to navigate Amazon's returns process…
Whats the advantage of this over just having big sprinkers on a long length of hose?
Saves you having to move sprinklers frequently, especially if you have an odd shaped lawn. I have a patch that is approx 20x5m and it is a right pita to water with normal sprinklers without wetting everyone walking by. A water tractor properly setup means I can turn it on and come back two hours later to pack it up.
