Have been watching these for a little while now, good solution for a simple do the job 'whole home' mesh WiFi system.

Free returns/change of mind option available.

Next cheapest I've found is $419 via Kogan/Mighty Ape/Dick Smith (Members Price). Other retailers vary widely with $500-700 price range.

FYI: I paid in AUD ($312.59) and ended up being $358.74 NZD letting my bank handle the currency conversion as opposed to Amazon's rate.

    • I did a $22000 deposit into an Australian BPay account and Wise saved me $400 on Forex vs my bank.

I just keep a bit of cash in there at all times for when I need foreign stuff.

      • A flat 10% withholding tax applies to non-residents, not good as HK or Dubai but much better than NZ's 33% rate. I keep some of my savings there to earn deposit interests.

Really good system, for those that need basic UI/Setup, no fuss and just works.
My family member got one beginning of this year and I've had no complaints about it since we've set it up

  • Does it handle VLAN 10 tagging like the non pro version does? Anyway I ordered one

    • The support page for Nest WiFi Pro re VLAN tagging links to the same page for 'Nest WiFi' so appears to be the same, AU/NZ models support VLAN 2 and 10 tagging.

  • just a word of caution for cheapies - google has a reputation for killing off their products super early and often not great at keeping up support in general. this may be important if you're looking at keeping it beyond just a couple of years. check out https://killedbygoogle.com/ if you don't believe it, there is a track record.

    • I'm gonna keep this for 5 to 10 years and not concerned at all
