I wonder if they want you to use Ping

haha Is that even legal? Surely if I want cash for my item how can they foist Ping onto my listing?!

The fact Trade Me has these desperation sale days nearly every week now tells me how bad the enshitification has become, only a matter of time now!

Will post up this thread, about PING, as (like everything on the tm site) extremely difficult to find:

I did not know about this, that is shameful. I drove a long distance and used ping to pickup an item only to find it didn't go through and trademe were on holiday and couldn't be contacted. It didn't go through until the next day, which meant another long drive back.

The only thing Trademe wants, is how to get more money out of every transactions

  • Curious - anyone going to list anything, using tomorrow's offer ?

    • Probably, there's no alternative for more expensive items. Marketplace sometimes has actual buyers if you first sift through 90% of bots and time wasters.

By the time I sell an item on Marketplace, I've probably already sold it for less than what I would have got if it sold on Trade Me.

    • Yep, as always I just price things where I am happy after fees. Always to clear out some stuff and get a bit of pocket money.

Marketplace is actually becoming less abhorrent, maybe it's because TradeMe is now becoming the greater evil.
